6.2 Exhaust

Excuse me for using a bad term and not referring to scavenging and flow velocity.

P.S. Way to make yourself sound judgemental.

I am judgemental on incorrect assumptions, and really with the name calling... Lol. You just got to be the example but don't take everything personally. I could probably hit every exhaust thread on this forum and pull another example from some other poster. People need to understand how an exhaust system works and how gases move through a pipe before they start telling others of the world how it is.... Thermal dynamics and Bernoulli's principles are a really good place to start if you care.....

I just picked up a SpinTech Pro Street 9000 to install in place of the stock muffler. Going to also cut off the resonator and dump over the rear axle. Will post sound clip when finished......can't wait.

The youtube video search for 6.2 spintech sold me.

I just installed a Corsa cat-back touring system on my Wife's 2013 Yukon Denali and I love it! I have a Borla cat-back touring system on my 2012 Sierra Denali and I like the Corsa better. Corsa advertises 11 HP. and 14 Ft. Lbs. of torque and up to 2 Mpg. on this vehicle. 9 lbs. lighter and no DRONE! The only difference in sound is under acceleration. Corsa has a straight-thru muffler like my Borla's, but it is much quieter. They have a patent on their muffler design, called RSC and it works great! The twin rear exit 4" tips look great too! Not cheap, but nothing good is!

What type of dyno was used on your truck to get those numbers?

I personally never had Corsa products but I do like them. If it weren't for MBRP or Borla, Corsa would have been my choice.

EDIT: didn't see it was advertised #'s at first.

Do both trucks have the same engine & gear ratios?

Yes, both vehicles are 6.2 { the only engine you can get in Denali's } and both have 3.42 rear ends. They also both have Taylor Cable Power Tower throttle body spacer's and Volant cold air intakes with the new Power-Core filters. I have had several Borla systems over the years on everything from Hemi's, Fords, and GM's. I am now however a Corsa fan! According to advertised numbers, I should be at 454 HP. and 496 Ft. lbs. of torque. Stock is 403 and 417.

I have never timed my 0-60 or ran on a strip. Around here we only have one local drag strip and it closes for winter. My Wife's Denali has less than 1000 miles on it and I never run a new vehicle wide open until I get to 1000 miles and change my oil over to Mobil 1. I have owned about 21 new vehicles over the years and this is just my routine. It works for me, I have never had any engine trouble or one that used oil! My Denali has 2500 miles on it, but I have never timed it. On the Cadillac website they show a Escalede run 0-60 in 6.9 seconds which is the same drivetrain and basic vehicle as the Denali. I would like to think that I could get close to the 6. second range? By the way, I still own my first car, a 1976 Mustang Cobra that I paid $4989.00 for brand new! It is all original, with 30,000 miles! It get's Mobil 1 too, once a year.

I've got the magnaflow 15573. Bought from a divorce sale. Its louder than stock but not by much. Really deep note and no drone. Just a note there are a couple of exh hangers on the system that don't line up. I ended cutting one off and welding it on elsewher. Its a bit of a pain being stainless
