I tolerate it, that is the key word... Tolerate. In Florida I had to wait 3 days for my 1911 and that wasnt bad. But for all guns here it is 10 days

 

That sucks. Here in ND all I need to do is show my ccp and walk out the door with a new gun.

Dont even need CCP.. I walk into scheels in fargo probably once every 6 months and walk out with one with just a drivers liscence.

I assume you guys all still need to do the 4473 right? I thought that was federal law.

I had to do some federal paperwork, same form I did in Florida for my 870 and 1911

You don't even need ID if it's from a private dealer at a gun show here. But the dealers are choosy about who they'll sell to. And most of the dealers here at shows do require a background check.

That's pretty much anywhere, person to person transactions require nothing. I'm talking buying from a normal shop.

Yea we have to fill out the paperwork.. takes 3-4 minutes.. they call it in.. 5 minutes later you can pay for it and leave with it.

Hey if your Mom wants a 9 go for it. Better something she is comfortable with than something she might be afraid of. A well placed 9mm will do the job nicely.

She is comfortable with the .45 she has shot mine
