Hi Sarah,

even if you drove the truck already and he brakes fine you should clean the brake disc anyway.

A painted brake disc can raise questions in case of an accident.

Otherwise it looks great.

Good job.

Even oil will burn off eventually...

All I'm saying is if someone hits my truck and I would see paint on his brake disc, I would figure that the job wasn't done by a professional.

And I would give him a hard time about it...

Edit: one more thing. I'm sorry I've tried to give an little advise. Never mind.

The paints not even on the rotor? After I did it I drove down the driveway and back and they were clean.. It's not a big deal if professionals are doin it at a shop why is it so bad that I did..

The paint is gone from the rotor, however, it is now inbedded in the pads. That cost you braking power... ;) Just saying...

Why do you criticize everyone here and what they do? Its her truck if you dont like what she did or how she did it (this applies to anyone) do t worry about it and let it go.

Leaving the caliper on to paint is fine. Did it on my old 2000

Wow... Just wow.. And by the way the truck stops fine it's not like there was three coats of paint on the whole rotor just a tad on one spot.
