I fixed it so they all blink, just like a GMT 400. You switch out the inner plug in the DRL socket for the plug from an amber and add a middle contact to the DRL socket. Then just solder it all in. Preferably with a decent solder iron, mine wasn't working too well. It did a great job of burning my finger at least.

My blinkers are amber. I like my DRL's the white color, looks mean when I look at the reflection in the car in front of me

I still prefer 2

I ran amber DRLs in my 2003. I just randomly picked up the bulbs one day, never having seen it locally in NH. Not sure but I think I started the trend.

Yeah dad and I have been running ambers in the trucks for a good 8+ years. Not too many around here that do. See so many people with bulbs out on DRLs, headlights, and factory fogs. Except for the DRL swap the headlights and fogs are still factory somehow after all this time. I do want to do the "conversion" to one large blinker though as DRLs are pointless since I turn the factory fogs on during the day. Plus my PIAs come on with the key.

Not on android. I had to pay $0.99 for 4. It was something like $3 or $4 for 2

You'll be surprised how much more visible your blinkers are with 2 bulbs blinking. I really didn't have any use for the DRLs, so I don't miss them. If you can wire anything, the swap is pretty much self explanitory.

It wasnt free for the full Version on iPhone now it's all fancy and free

Oh, well that explains it. I keep forgetting Apple makes you pay for everything. There's been a free version on Android for a while and the

full app goes on sale for $.99 all the time. I didn't really notice the difference switching from free to paid, just wanted to toss some monies to the devs. Prefer the phone version vs the tablet though.

Yeah there was a link posted in another thread to another forum that had a write up on it. Seemed simple enough, I just need to get motivated enough to do it. My bed top needs to be re-clear coated first though. Darn "to do list" keeps getting longer, I need to stop being so lazy.

This is a pretty good writeup on how to do it.

I didn't modify the inner socket though. All I did was drill out the middle hole and remove the raised piece in the old DRL plug with a razor. Would probably be easier to do it the way this shows. And solder and use heat shrink! Splice connectors like to sever wires and lose contact.

The hardest part was getting the inner socket out of the plug!

Also, drilling out the middle hole is easiest if you remove the existing contacts first. You can take some needle nose and snap off a little of the tab too, to make it easier to get started drilling. You'll know what I mean when you see it.
