Zombies with surround sound is pretty cool, and I'm not even playing.

 

It is pretty awesome. I haven't played zombies in a while though

I need to get ambitious and hook my main computer up to my big screen again. Just a pain to game sitting on a couch with m&kb. Sound is pretty good though

Played H4 on it earlier. Wow, I've gotten even worse at Xbox lol.

 

Picked up a Lifeproof case to replace my aging Otterbox. I wish I'd switched a long time ago. I don't see how Otterbox is still in business.

You can buy signal repeaters and run cables through the wall if your pc is in another room. Not sure if its worth it if only occasional.

 

Thinking about an HTPC again.

 

Have a TIVO premiere for an OTA DVR after my first HTPC failed, and the new roamio have 4 tuners on their OTA version. Maybe Ill upgrade. Supposedly since I have lifetime subscription I could get 70% of my money back selling on ebay.

Scary photos but thankfully the driver compartment on race cars is incredibly strong these days.

Yeah, they showed it today on TV. It was pretty insane alright. I have a friend that did the same thing back in 78, or 79, with a ProStock car, Shelby was a little short on brain power before he totaled that car but after it he just had no fear of anything. :jester:

Hmm lets see.....my wife told me to keep the 69 camaro 6 years ago, I told her I would just replace it later on with a new one. I bring it up last year and she wants to put it toward a house years down the line (my bought new in 05 house will be paid off in a year and I swore never to get a mortgage again, I dont care if Im in my 20s).

 

 

Few years ago I get her to agree to an AR. I find a local place that is in a firearms network linked to hundreds of shops and can get anything. I find what I want and bring it up. Pretty good price, a M&P 15OR for 960.

 

Her response was "Why? What would we need one for?" This from a woman with a CCL and liked going to the range before the ammo shortage.

 

I was speechless.

 

 

On another note, Im baffled that S&W doesn't make their special editions like the MAGPUL edition with the OR model upgrades, like chromed inner barrel. Itd be better to buy the very cheap sport model and the accessories separately

Yeah I could, I already did that with the cat6 cable because at the time I was using my ps3 as a media PC and the wireless would be close to being overloaded with transcoded 720 movies and 1080 would be unplayable. I don't know if I'd want to run a 50ft hdmi cable through the attic, the cat6 was a pain in itself and not something I'd want to repeat. With a "media" pc built out of spare parts and some bought parts I can't justify hooking my main pc up just to play games on a bigger screen and 7.1 audio. Thankfully the klipsch 2.1 speakers on main pc sound good enough to keep me satisfied.

My neighbor got a Harley. Great.

 

Sometimes I wonder if my neighbors would prefer that I have a Harley. Some of them are quieter than my truck.

All my neighbors complain when I leave in the morning between 3-5am. They always say I get on it to aggravate them, but I just idle through my neighborhood for the most part. Can't wait till the winter now haha

      I find it amusing the OP doesn’t realize this threads heading includes several engines. He should have posted in the off topic section if he wanted a more narrow focus. I really appreciate and find amusing that he actually pointed out one of my many vehicles. The Odyssey. That happens to use 0-20 oil. I love pushing his buttons.

      Maybe, but it seems he is the only one that has backed up data to prove what he is stating. I think he is doing this more because he enjoys it and wants to get the information out to us. He's got the knowledge and access to the proper equipment and having the funds doesn't hurt.  I would love to do what he is doing and would do it if and when I hit the Powerball.  I'm not a Tribologist by any means but love to learn what I can.   I would bet there would be doubting people out there if a completely independent lab with high quality work and highly respected in the automotive industry, put out information like this.  The world can't be pleased, one just has to take the information that they are given, do more of their own research to find actual lab data to back up what they are trying to figure/find out.  Most don't bother, they just want to believe what they first see.     I don't have the minimax but my 6.2 in my 2019 Silverado with 64k miles shows excellent UOA results with 0w-20 and for my own purposes 5w-20.  Since not much of a change using 5w. I liked the data sheet information on the SS 5w-20 and figured I would give it a try.  Still the same viscosity at 100℃.   In the end we all just do what makes us happy, life is too short to get upset over trivial social media.   On a side note, I do feel GM has dropped the ball and just cares about the bottom dollar and not quality anymore.  "Like a Rock" has been long gone.  Seems "Built Ford Tough" has as well.

      Hello, my 3 month old Sierra Elevation wont recognize a trailer with electric brakes? All the lights work correctly, but no power to the brakes?   This is the factory installed brake controller. If you manually push the knob, the display shows the power % but does not light up like my 2022 silverado.   I have an appointment with the dealer, but was checking to see if anyone else has seen this issue.    Thanks,

      Been using SS 0w-20 from new, but wanted to change to the 5w-20 because I liked the data on the data sheet, to me it seems like a little better product. But as you can see, not much difference. This is also with running a mix of 10 gallons E85 to a tank topped with 93. It isn't a flex fuel vehicle so any higher I get a CEL for running lean on both banks. Yes my mileage takes a hit. Instead of 20 mpg I normally get on trips I get 17mpg. This is also using EaO17 filter.  What is amazing is I have the AMSOIL cone filter on it since I have the GM Performance intake installed and that air filter has 44k miles on it.  I just take it out and shop vac it off once a year.  I use the upholstery tool on my shop vac.  Works well.
