Engine throwing codes

Ok so yesterday I installed an Airaid MIT, a throttle body spacer and cleaned the throttle body on my 2007 tahoe 5.3L. Today while at idle my traction control turns off and it says service Stabilatrack, along with C0561 code, and also bank 1 lean and bank 2 lean. If you rev up the engine or start driving all lights go away. Has anyone experienced this or know why this would be and what I need to do to fix it?

First, re-check all your work, focusing on making sure all your installed parts are sealed and not letting un-metered air into the intake.

BTW, the throttle body spacer is waste on your engine, no benefit.

I didn't even touch the MAF sensor, everything is tight. I made the same install on my 2011 silverado 5.3L, with no side effects

Should go ahead and clean that maf while you re-do your system minus a TB spacer.

Sounds like you're computer isn't happy with the increase in air, doesn't know what to do with it. clean the MAF as well.

I had a MAF throw a code before from being contaminated by oil from a K&N filter. I just gingerly removed it and cleaned it with brake cleaner.

Ditch that throttle body hisssser as well, use it for paper weight.

Ok so problem solved. I went to the dealer and they had there tech look at it because they thought that it was a problem with the ECM needing to re-learn the idle, well it wasn't. The tech pointed out that it was running really lean on both banks and he didn't know why because he couldn't find any leaks. he said he sprayed all around the intake with carb cleaner hoping that the intake would suck some of it up causing the RPMs to increase but nothing happened. They wanted my to bring it back next week because they didn't have time to trouble shoot it this week.

When I got home I plugged my Scantool in and noticed that the short term fuel trim percentages where ranging as high as 23% while at idle, i then started spraying carb cleaner around then intake but instead of waiting for the RPMs to increase I was watching the short term fuel trim percentages on my scan tool and finally noticed a dramatic change.

On the top right hand side of the intake plentum, there is a vaccum port that is supposed to have a molded palstic tip on it, well I guess when I pulled the engine cover off it broke the tip off causing a vaccum leak. Once I covered up that port the fuel trims returned to normal operating range and no more engine codes.

After I was complete I kindly called the dealer to inform them that I had fixed the problem and wanted to let the tech know so that he can put it in his brain vault for a future trouble shooting step.
