Got an estimate yet Daryl? Probably zero dollars. I'm with the troll, there's nothing wrong with your truck...Besides the bumper being bent in, to the point of the top buckling in on it. Oh, and the rear quarter panel on the bed being shoved into the tailgate causing damage to both if you try to use the tailgate. How dare you park in her way and expect her to pay for hitting that old thing. I'd just leave it as is, never use the tailgate and repaint her minivan. Seems like a no brainer.

No estimate yet. The adjuster is coming sometime this week to look at it. The body shop looked at it yesterday and said the bedside was shifted some because the panel gap between the tailgate and tail light is off compared to the other side.

Damage is damage, even if it cannot be seen, and in this case, it can. I have seen tweaked frames on vehicles, and you would never know to look at it, doesn't mean you should leave it. If you have cancer in your body, I guess you should just leave that too hey? I mean after all, you can't see it.

 

IMO, the problem with society is everyone thinks it is never a big deal when they do something wrong. You just want to slither away like a snake in the grass without paying for your mistake. I would soak that girl and her insurance for everything you can, especially since she gave you attitude.

 

I have a motto, you **** up, you fess up. We all work hard for these trucks, and they are very expensive to purchase and keep. Hopefully this turns out well for you in the end.

Got the estimate in the mail yesterday.

The adjuster said he included having the tailgate painted, but I just want the edge touched up. No use in redoing the whole gate when it's perfectly fine besides the one spot.

No idea. All they'll probably need to buy is the passenger side half of the bumper, step pad, and brackets. The bedside just needs worked back into place by the tailgate and below the tail light.
