Dodges, jeep, and Chrysler do this. I've installed them at work :/ their hard to clean unlike the plastic ones

It's not dodge anymore it's Ram and it's a nice truck. But I came from a gmt 900.some things I liked in my Chevy and other things I love in my Ram. The Ram is more sophisticated and powerful. It has a beautiful ride and a nice interior. Power train and suspension are amazing. Some interior things I could leave out. I wish GM would just condense resources and make one truck.

(more) Powerful? Did Ram announce something that I missed???

Making the truck line its own brand was done strictly for marketing reasons. Nothing special about Ram vs Dodge Ram other than the new ones have been redesigned, same as they would under Dodge.

6.4L Hemi

Which is rated what, only 410/429 with a .2L advantage on the GM mill and worse gas mileage? Ummm...swing and a miss?

Throttle response is not power, though untrained I'll admit that these trucks seem a bit pokey for the power they contain. BUT!, they most certainly are trainable. Just drive it like you stole it for a few weeks and she will perk right up. Then you have the best of both worlds!

It's kinda like when I was running the 1/4 mi circuit in my Trans Am. Soooo many times some river would get a bit butt hurt when losing and say "Well yeah, but you have 8 cylinders and I only have 4 :( ". And I was like yeah...didn't you realize that when you bought it? Pop the good next time.

Always has been a Dodge

Always will be a Dodge.

I always call them Dodges just because it pisses off the Dodge guys.

(sometimes I even call it a Fiat)

Find it has very good throttle response. In my Chevy, it was horrible. I find power comes on very smooth. Id like to test GM 6.2l but they make it unattainable. Just my 5.3l always shook, jolted and felt sluggish.

That's fine. But I like the new way better. Ram, not dodge ram. Fiat has been a blessing to Chrysler. Love the tech. Hopeful GM can get us act together.

They couldn't Dodge it, so they rammed it?? Is that where that came from?

It's a good marketing strategy to get away from the Dodge truck voodoo, juju, or whatever it's called. Give it another 7 - 10 years and people will be saying

"Dodge, what Dodge? What are you talking about? It's not a Dodge, never has been a Dodge! Dodge gave up building trucks along time ago! It's a Ram."

Edit: not only saying it but actually believing it.

Well said. It's like a fresh start for the company. Funny tho, sales have gone up since leaving Dodge out of the picture.
