Lol, it was freaking cutting my truck, but I was tired of level height.

UCA, benefits are better angle and makes a world of a difference. I ran the stock UCA for three months and wanted to get better ones. I felt a difference in the handling right way. Truck huge the road better. As for tire size I ran 33x12.50x20. Once I put the lift on, it was way to small for my liking and went with 35”. I also added a Bora 1.75 wheel adapters to the rears to balance out the rims for sticking out.

Ok how much do the UCA run and how hard was the install on those? Might be one I think about adding later.

The price varies on where you buy from. I got mines from a member on our site for $350. It isn’t hard to install, just make sure you have deep sockets. It took about - hour on each side. I have seen the prices from new to use from $350 to $600.

Nice. I can handle a couple hours just can't really budget the time to do the whole lift. Too much other junk going on. Thanks for the info!
Looking back I noticed you have bilsteins but didn't think about it, that probably helps with the ride for you. Nice thing about going BDS is it will ditch the ranchos in the process.

Well, completed the install and test drive lastnight, took it first thing this morning to the shop for alignment, having them just double check all new components to make sure everything is good and secure. Only thing they called me about is that to bring the toe into spec based on the zone recommendations, the Zone tie cuts were not enough, it was bottoming out when trying to adjust, so they called to say they needed to cut a little more off in order to bring it into specs. If that is all they find, then i would call my first suspension lift a 96% success. Placed an order for the Destination MT2 at the shop since they were going to have a sale starting tomorrow(instant rebate) I havent paid for them yet, so if there are any suggestions or feedback on those tires let me know..

Other than the few issues i ran into along the way, i would def do the install again and again on my trucks if they dont already have one. Knowing me, though i would go taller next time around.

Not a problem. Yes, I went with Bilsteins and have no complaints. Good luck and post photos once you have your kit on.

I just had the zone 4.5 installed

In 4 wheel high,  above 15 mph I have high vibration,  on the front drive...doesn't feel right at all.

Zone says it's normal,  I call BS...

They say its the angle on DS at the T case that cause it...   But we are are still looking at it...

Any of you guys have this issue at all?

I thought i saw a call out about this in a video about the over all installation process.. not sure its the same thing, but vibration in this particular case was due to the drive shaft to the T case, they had not keep the driveshaft in the same orientation when they pulled it off the joints, got vibrations and went back down and simply disconnected it again and rotated it to get it back where it was before they originally removed it.

For them that was the fix..maybe it can help you get to the right cause.

It has to new something simple

Everything is great...   I've had several lifted 4x... Mostly Jeeps,  never had this problem...    I will try that today and see..

Well,  that worked!!!   Perfect, rotated over bolted back up,  all vibrations gone...

Just wanted to also say i was able to keep the factory rims on the truck with the use of a 1/4" spacer. Turning clearance in the front leaves about 1/2" or less of space between the tire and front fender/valance.

Happy with the overall finished look. Need to have the truck washed and ill post before, during and after pics..

I went to AutoPlex here in Colorado to get quotes on the lift (couple other places but they didn't measure up for me). The guy was really helpful figuring out how to do what I was hoping for (no blocks or spacers), but with the BDS 6" he said "We HAVE to do wheels and tires at the same time! Can't even bolt up your stockers to roll her out of the shop!" I was pretty sure that was BS and if a 1/4" spacer solves it, it had to be. Doesn't really matter, not a chance I was going to pay them the $2500 he wants to do wheels and tires there anyway.

well i got a quote for the Zone 6.5 at local shop last year after i got the truck, was quoted around $5k i think or closer to $6k for lift, wheels and tires, because i couldnt use the stock rims..

I took my rim off, measured the back spacing and contacted Zone directly and since my rims were 6" backspacing, said 1/4" spacer would work just fine.

$80 later from rough country i have my stock rims on the truck with 35's and looks great.

I couldnt justify buying new rims when my rims are new with only 7000 miles on them.. Maybe later on down the road ill change it up, but even my tires still have the little peices on the side walls, barely any use or wear on them.

If you want to use yours, just take one off, and take the measurements to make sure, since all different stock styles are slightly different.

Right. I'm not a huge fan of mine anyway. As my friend said they kinda look like the guy wearing blue jeans and polished glossy white dress shoes (translation: too much chrome for my work truck). So I was planning to change them out, and my tires don't have much left so I'm not worried about that. Just didn't like the push to do them right now, thru them, at their crazy prices. This is the wheel I kinda like. Simple, chaep, symmetrical, cheap, and doesn't hurt that it's call the TKO which has been a bit of a nickname for me (my initials are TK). Oh and they're cheap.

very cool, for the time being i may just plasti dip them to black out the rest of the truck, only chrome i have is the steps that came with it and the rims.. so i agree, since i got the Z71 blacked out edition, the chrome stands out a bit, but im ok with that until i get around to blacking things out..

Nice truck if thats yours.. i was considering the window visors, but the thin low profile ones that almost seem like its part of the window they are so close and slim.. ive heard mixed things about having them on the cars/trucks.. not sure if its based on the style, but some complain of whistling when driving with the windows down

If thats your truck in the pic, do you have any issues? Are they the channel type that slip into place?
