Well I guess if you don't like it... you can always stick with you current model and wait for the new 2021 model to roll out!GM tried that marketing strategy. They went bankrupt and had to be bailed out.

Prove this. The 900s were barely two years old when the economy tanked. And GM still managed to sell hundreds of thousands of them over the years.

the point is.. we can find a bug in any new vehicle. As for seats blowing hot air... doesn't impact me since the Double Cab all terrain (what I'm ordering) doesn't have this option.. only heated seats.

lol.. that is comical. Of course they went in BK… SO DID THE REST OF THE WORLD. "They
didn't sell enough" are you even old enough to drive? How about this... maybe....just maybe…. the world economy was collapsing in ways not seen since the great depression. GM, Chrysler, GE, all the big banks getting bailed out. Ok,,,ok.. what about Ford is your next question? Anyone that knows ... also knows Ford was hours away from meeting the same result… but
got bailed out privately in the 11th hour by some private investors. Good for them. I don't know who you are… but I promise you I forgot more about economics and financial markets than you will ever know…

Basically they can pinpoint any possible issues in advance much better these days than in years past. Not sure where you get that information from. I guess they never "simulated" a passenger in the back seat that needed AC on a hot day. Seems someone would have noticed that hat air being discharged from the seats and say: "That is not a good idea. We need some AC vents back here."

They got me to buy one knowing that.

Proof GM filed bankruptcy:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_Motors_Chapter_11_reorganizationBottom line is GM sales tanked and they did not sell enough vehicles to pay the bills. The GMT900 will always have a place in history as being the high profit vehicle that could not save GM from going under.

Cute but like every other BS claim of yours no meat to back it up. You know damn well what I meant, don't try and dance around it.

Is this the bash Gm thread? I mean if you don't like that Gm went bankrupt with the rest of the economy Or they have a flaw or two in several thousands of vehicles produced then stay with your current vehicle or switch to another manufacture. But u will be hard pressed to find one that didn't borrow money or issue a recall for some reason. The fact is that we are all here because we like Gm products and possibly all own one the topic merely was just about the price of the new trucks.

Weird, I remember all three from Detroit making their way to D.C. looking for cash. That said, yes the GMT900 lines were pushed out ahead of schedule to build cash to design better cars.

There’s no question GM — along with Ford and Chrysler — spent decades frittering away its golden legacy. Arrogance, complacency, Motown’s suffocating small-town mindset, poorly thought-out government regulation, all conspired to create an American auto industry that was pretty much irrelevant outside North America. That didn’t matter when North America was the largest, richest auto market in the world, and the competition from imports was limited: The Detroit automakers could still make a ton of money designing, making, and selling cynically engineered cars and cheap-to-build trucks to a largely patriotic populace.

It doesn’t excuse what happened. It just explains it.

The irony is, until this perfect storm broke, GM seemed on the way to turning things around. Pulling forward the development of the GMT900 trucks and SUVs was perhaps the first overt signal the company realized the world had changed. The idea was to get the GMT900s to market faster so they could generate revenue that could be plowed into new-car development. Remember, at the time the decision was taken, trucks and SUVs were still 50% of the market, still highly profitable, and no one talked of gas being $4/gal in little more than two years’ time. At the time, it seemed an entirely logical play.

Check this out. http://www.commercialtrucktrader.com/find/listing/2014-Chevrolet-Silverado-1500-110518597

That's
the same place I got my 2005 Crew-Cab Silverado. The one I have now,
is just an LS with power windows/locks; auto-dimming rearview mirror
with digital compass; 60/40 cloth seats; stock Vortec 5.3 V8 with the
automatic 4L60E transmission; and of course, its got the "towing
package".

So, the one in the link that I'm thinking
about getting.. is a step up since its the 'LTZ' model. It's a
beautiful truck and I called them yesterday and asked them if they had
any in stock yet. Sure enough they did and they sent me the link to
their website so I could look at it. I talked to them over the phone
about the financing.. which, without seeing my trade-in (2005 Silverado i
just mentioned) they can't say exactly what they can give me for trade
in to bring down the final price of the new one.. but, we went ahead and
figured it with them giving me the lowest amount trade in price for my
2005.. and even with the lowest trade-in price, which was $7,500.00 that
still leaves my final price for the new one a little over the 40k
mark! WOW!

But again, this thing is loaded to the
brim! In fact, its got a lot of crap I don't need nor want.. to be
downright honest here. Like, for instance.. I don't need the 4x4
because I've had 4x4's in the past and they've always been much more
expensive to keep up and service. It's also the "Texas Edition" which
means nothing to me really.. except more money.. LOL.

I
bet I could probably afford a new 2014 LS model Silverado.. just like
the one I have now.. just new. I'll have to wait until they get an LS
crew-cab in stock and see what they want for it.

Thank you and the cooled seats are a 600+ option so not hard to skip...
