Little Paint Work & Tailgate Spoiler

One small ding in the tailgate from some idiot and a hotel luggage cart... no big deal. When I sprayed the bed and tailgate in 05 I must of added one to many coats and the clear started cracking from the tailgates vibration (speculation). Stripping back down to the metal with the DA and 80P. Working outside in the sun, 95 degree heat and 65% humidity ain't fun lol.

Stripping the oem bc/cc and my bc/cc is not gumming up the paper, so about 30+ minutes per 1/3 of the panel ain't to bad.

CRACKS couldn't see them at all unless you got down on your knees and looked up.

Forced back inside from a thunderstorm, almost 3/4 stripped.

Spoiler actually covers the OEM holes for reference (mine are filled).

The Street Scene spoiler sits low like the oem pad but with a slight angle. I like it much better than the ill fitting RST repo I sent back.

Bare naked sheet metal.

Ding filled and a thin wipe of mud on the oem spoiler fills just encase the DA cut the filler low (insurance).

Filler blocked down with 80 waiting on 2K primer.

SPI 2K Primer (3 coats) maybe bc/cc tomorrow.

^ Muchas Gracias Amigo

This Street Scene spoiler is just slightly higher than the OEM pad and doesn't have those unsightly torx mounting screws showing like the OEM part.

Spoiler painted and installed I'll cut & buff sometime this week. This spoiler has small winglets on a pair of smooth bed caps that finish the look. When I return from vacation I'll shoot those and install.

here is a pic with the smooth bed caps installed.
