ive been testing 93 octane in my 6.2 however i'm seeing terrible mpg. i do all city driving, and its around 13.9 and has brought my lifetime down to like 14 or 15.

are you the first one to take off from a red light? If so that's why the mileage is so bad.

You can't just blame driving style. I had a 5.3 with 3.08 gears and my lifetime over 9000 miles was 14mpg. I would drive with the full intention of getting the best fuel economy possible, but it just wouldn't do it. It did have some good moments here and there, but when I went to a diesel 2500 I broke all my mpg records from that 1500.

It's a shitty problem to have because the dealers won't help out because it's easy to blame driving style.

I drive on the hard side and don't speed, don't need to in Texas speed limits are high. Im most often first to leave the light, my lifetime average on E85 and some 93 is 16 MPH. Most would be in town.

Not sure how yours was so low. Did you keep the tires properly inflated and all the other jazz that they say is necessary for good mileage? My 5.3 3.42 4x4 CCSB has had great mileage. My lifetime is 16 mpg. With about 85% of that being city and 15% highway. And about 20% of my overall has been with a lead foot cause it's nice to hear the exhaust!

Tires were fine and I was 70 percent hwy. I towed a 6x12 enclosed trailer once for 100 miles and got 6mpg.

Man I don't know what some of you are doing to get such low numbers.

DIC shows almost 20mpg, 25 mile average shows 26mpg, 50 mile average shows 22mpg, 400 mile average shows almost 20mpg. My hand calculated mileage shows anywhere from 18.75-20.5mpg on my weekly commute.

That's about spot on what I am seeing with my 6.2. It has settled into 18-19 on my normal weekly driving and if I can get out on the freeway for any amount of time it puts me at 20-21mpg.

EPA sticker on mine said 21 hwy. but I've seen 22-23 cruising between 70-75MPH (not drafting btw, but when I do I get 25MPG). City I can get 16MPG if I play it easy.

I've got right around 4600 miles on the truck. CCSB 4x4 with factory wrangler street tires. 275/55/20 5.3L with 3.42 gears.

Mine used to get around 18-19 mpg hwy. when I bought the truck I got 15-17 on the hwy drive home. But mileage seems to be getting better with more miles.
