The SAE certified numbers with E85 show impressive gains, such as the extra 25 HP on the 5.3.

I believe it. Lingenfelter did testing on regular and E85 a month or two ago and got good gains on the dyno.

Don't even have E85 around were I live. Closest station that has it is about 40 miles away.

It shows how much less you get on my window sticker. They dealer put the window sticker in my glove box and I was looking at it just the other day and it was showing like 100 miles less on a tank of E85 versus Gas.

And at least for my driving with the truck tuned for premium, E85 is actually cheaper when you calculate cost per mile so long as its 75 cents or more cheaper than premium. The reduced range is a drag but most of my driving in the truck is in town these days.

Yep, but it's worth it if you have a quick need for some extra ponies. I downloaded an iphone app that shows stations that have E85. I may run a tank through just to see what it's like.

I tryed it, didn't notice any more power. I went from 17.5 mpg to 13.3 hand calculated. On the freeway (3in bl/front air damn removed). It was $1 cheaper a gallon for e85 vs reg.
