What is keeping you from buying a 2014 right now?

Just not in the market right now, just bought my 2011 brand new 2.5 years ago, only has 63,000 miles on it, it's paid for and there's nothing wrong with it, nor my 2006 Duramax 124,000 miles has not given me a lick of trouble ever. Plus I'd never sell the 2006 2500HD I had it since brand new as well and it's the best Duramax in the "Series" IMO. I also really like my 2011 Silverado and yes even the dreaded 4.3L V6 too! OMG the horror. I love the looks, love the interior of the 2014's and since I pay cash, I just don't feel like plunking down that much cash right now. Down the road, yeah I might but as for now I'm happy.

It does kind of give you an ego after you drive one for awhile, crap loads of torque down low and runs pretty quick for stock. I get 21-22 on the highway and around 16 in town. Not bad for that kind of power and tows better than anyhting I have driven besides a good diesel (Duramax). I really liked my 2008 Silverado, had it for 5 years, had a few problems but overall it was a great truck, I just prefer the current F150 to any other truck out there. That being said, I also have a 2011 Equinox that my wife drives and we think its a great little rig. I figure I have an all american garage, one bow tie and one blue oval both built in USA plants. No Toyotas or Fiats for me. :smoker:

I'm just bustin ur guts bud. I'd be proud, and I am proud of my domestic garage as well. I just laugh at the ego boost owners tho, they think they got a race truck. It's fun leaving them in the dust. They are impressive tho, 6.2 Chevy are quicker IMO.

You have the updated intercooler boots and air to air pipe? Obviously haven't experienced the "dead pedal" issue that plagues the Eco boost.

I know ya were, just a chance to brag a little about my Ford and Chevy. I don't have the most recent cooler update, but I haven't had any problems with the water ingestion yet either. Most people that have the problem are traveling in the rain or very humid weather using cruise control and they all of the sudden hammer it to the floor. That is when it usually happens. I rarely use cruise and am into the boost quite a bit so it keeps it cleared out. I think that is why some folks have the problem and others do not, drivng styles and such. I do wish Ford would recall and fix this for all owners even the ones who aren't having problems (yet), this is a tarnishment to an otherwise terrific motor. I love the darn Eco.

The other tarnishment is that it's a Ford... Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2

We are so sensitive these days.... isn't this a GM truck forum? For real.. people are all over the place these days... what happened to Ford or Chevy ? No grey area... one or the other for life...not both.

I swear I'm the only hardcore GM fan left in the world...

I was told many years ago to never say never. The only one exception in my life is Ford... I will NEVER drive a Ford.
I'm not bashing here... just speaking up for the TRUE GM fans

I am a true GM fan myself and also very fond of Ford. I like blonde, brunette, and redheads as well..........

It's an American company with American workers. Nothing wrong with Ford. I have my preferences but they arent bad trucks. I dont particularly care for any of the GM trucks made after 07. I will keep my 04. I have driven the 07-13 trucks as well as the 14. To be honest I think the interior of the 09 Expedition is more comfortable than the 07-14 trucks. Different people have different needs. I have a messed up back with worn down discs and shifted vertebrae. Does that make my opinion wrong?

Nope just as you're opinion doesn't invalidate my opinion that Ford's and Dodge's are craptastic ugly pieces of junk...
