What is keeping you from buying a 2014 right now?

I'm curious of why GM decided to finally offer some cool looking optional wheels and only offer them in 22. It is ridiculous to only offer them in that size, maybe include 20s. Bad enough to run 20s on a 4x4 but 22s? The guys who bankrupted the company must have been demoted to the wheel dept and chrome trim dept. Jackasses. What's wrong with the 22's on the truck? They don't come with low profile Goodyear LS tires on them. They come with Bridgestone Dueler A/T's which are awesome tires.

The stock 20" Goodyear Eagle LS-2's are $143 on TireRack.com

 

The stock 20" Goodyear Wrangler SR-A's are $182 on TireRack.com

 

The Bridgestones will out last the Goodyears by probably 20,000 miles which would justify the expense in my book. People are regularly getting over 50,000 miles out of the Bridgestones in the reviews on Tirerack. Also, the Bridgestones have much higher ratings across the board.

 

IMHO I'd pay the extra $ for the 22's just so I wouldn't have to deal with the shitty ass Goodyears. (In fact I have. My Sierra with 22's should be here next week). I absolutely hate Goodyear tires!!

Hit a decent sized rock, log, or stump with those 22s and I will not have to remind you. If you use yours as a mall crawler then by all means enjoy, but beware the curbs. I think the 18 is a better size but the 22s styling is sweet. I want more sidewall though. I put 30,000 miles a year on a pickup and half those are on dirt roads and field miles. I need the extra forgiveness and assumed everyone in a 4x4 also did. 22s are typically more at home on some lowered bling-mobile. Also, need I remind you of the Bridgestone ATs on the 900s, the duellers. They were pretty weak. Look good but not any better or worse than the weakass SRAs.

To each their own. However, Lets be honest I don't plan on doing any rock crawling or driving full speed into logs in my $52K truck. The fields at my family's farm fixing fences is probably about the extent of my off roading. Also, I haven't hit a curb since about 2 months after I got my license so that's the furthest thing from my mind.

Haha sorry to sound old. Only 32 but trying to be responsible. I like the 22s like I said. They look great. Just feel like I need more. My 11 was 47000 new and has 60,000 miles on it. Pretty hard ones and generally I use my truck as an office. I just travel and park in hard places. Agriculture will put high demand on toughness.

Not sure about durability of the 20" GY LS2, but the 19" ROF LS2s on my current vehicle suck. Can't wait to trade it in for new sierra. Just waiting for decently optioned model without the all terrain package and anything besides the 3.08 rear that's not black.

that's basically what I have but w/ 18"s - I'd rather go bigger tire & 18" w/ leveling shocks like bisltein than pay. Up for blingy rims from the factory (I don't have any problem w/ it I think they look good just my preference)..... Or I may go w/ 20"s and still level it but I'd prefer black rims w/ my white truck.22"s too little sidewall IMO, but again to each their own.
