What is keeping you from buying a 2014 right now?

I would love to see what GM plans to do about a Raptor Fighter, if anything, and when. With the new F150 out next year curious of what they will do with the Raptor. I wouldn't mind spending more for something like that if it was priced similar to the Turd pricing, as long as dealers weren't trying to sell them over MSRP like a lot of the Ford dealers were doing when new.

I bet regular cab trucks will be gone in coming years. Like the manual trans... a thing of the past. They are small part of GM truck sales... and getting less each year.

Seems like a lot of that depends on where you are....I have been to some dealers and all they have are work trucks....and I have been to several that stock 8 or 9 regular cabs well loaded....and they say they get trade offers from other dealers that want those trucks for people.

They are still popular just not as much as they used to be.

Most of the time a regular cab with any options cost as much as an extended cab.

It does show it with the convenience package...but if you read the fine print of the package it says......

I like it for much more than just the nav...the weather radar and traffic.....the hard drive ability to replay songs on the radio.....It's just a nice radio, I hate they limit the use of it for certain trucks.

I know some dealers around here that stock several regular cab Chevy's optioned out completely.....makes a good looking truck.

Like you say it's not for everyone...but if Ford and Ram cater to this people, I wish Chevy would too.....Chevy was the first truck maker to have bucket seats that I remember in a truck.

Didn't see the fine print. I have the 8" My Link non-nav in my crew cab, and while it doesn't do radar/weather/traffic, I can tag songs, pause and fast forward live radio. I'm not sure if that part's different. I agree with you 100% on regular cabs, that's what I drove until I found out I had a kid on the way. They're fun to drive and fit into small garages.

After I said that I'm hoping that GM addressed the oil consumption problem on the new AFM engines (since they all have it now) he answered: "You have a 160'000km warranty".

That left me stay with my mouth open.

So back to the drawing board and look beyond the fence...

After I said that I'm hoping that GM addressed the oil consumption problem on the new AFM engines (since they all have it now) he answered: "You have a 160'000km warranty".

That left me stay with my mouth open.

So back to the drawing board and look beyond the fence...

Haha I like that one. Should have asked him what about at 200,000 when everything needs rebuilt and replaced. Anyone with any sense knows all that extra garbage in the engine for AFM to work will never last as long as an engine without it. Atleast it's able to be tuned out though...

Not ready for a new one just yet. Though given that I planned on going with a regular cab for the next truck I do have to say I'm real disappointed that they seem to have severely limited content on the reg cab trucks.

I didn't wait for the 6.2 because it still has AFM, will inevitably get worse gas mileage than the 5.3, still won't make the truck "fast" (I come from bolted LSx cars my last being a 12.7 second G8 on street tires), and I wanted to take advantage of the great trade in value I had on my G8 GT (offered 12,000 from dealer,owe only $1,500 on it, and it had 117,500 miles). If I waited another few months for the 6.2 trucks I'd be getting hosed on trade I would think.

You got hosed man. A G8 in nice shape will go for around $20k here.

For me it's honestly more the length than anything.....My garage is 36 feet long but only 22 feet deep and it's pretty tight with with the crew or double cab.....can't lower the tailgate with the garage door down.
