DIC Radio Favorites Not Displaying

Anyone else have intermittent issues with their favorites channel list not showing up in the display in the gauge cluster sometimes? I have had it happen a few times where I go to change the channel and it acts like it wants to, but the favorites list is blank or so it seems. I have changed the media type and waited it out and it usually comes back, but kind of annoying.

no issues at all on the DIC on my Silverado showing what I expect it to.

Hello there,

For everyone experiencing this concern I am happy to assist but need a little bit more information. Is the issue in the actual Driver Information Center or in your MyLink touchscreen?

Thanks,

I have recently had the same problem myself on my Sierra. It happens on the DIC and states favorites unavailable. But can change station via the touchscreen. Problem corrects itself after 10 min or so.

I have had the same issue happen to me a bunch of times. When I go to change the channel via my steering wheel the DIC maybe blank or only show the channel I am on. I then change the channel via the mylink touchscreen favorites and when I use the steering wheel again that favorite will appear and the others still won't, if I restart the truck it's all back to normal.

It happens to me every so often(it did it this morning) When I turn the truck off and restart it the DIC functions normally.

I've had this happen to me several times over the past 5 months of ownership. The "favorites" in the DIC are not displayed and come up with grey boxes when trying to change stations with the steering wheel controls. Turn off the truck, restart and it should be all good.

Jennifer i'm pretty sure he's talking about in the DIC, thats how mine is at least.

Anyone have any update on a resolution for this? Having same issue and dealer hasn't seen it before.

I attempted to change the channel via the steering wheel buttons and was displayed a message similar to "favorites not available". While looking at my 8" screen, NO favorites were showing. I shut the truck off about 10min later and let sit for 2hrs. Turned it back on and it's been working ever since. 2014 Sierra SLT.

Happened a couple of times to me. It never corrects itself while driving though. I have to either turn the engine off and the start the truck again, or press each of my presets on the 8" center screen one by one for them to show up on the smaller favorites list again. Very annoying.

Other problems:

1) After ending a bluetooth phone call, both the 8" screen and smaller driver information screen do not return to the screen they were originally on after I hang up the call.

2) The 8" mylink display flickers on and off at times. The dealer changed some wire that was supposed to fix it but it did not work.

I really wish they loaded these trucks with basic crappy AM radios so I can go to an after market audio shop and get a real radio system and speakers installed and not feel bad about ripping this garbage MyLink system out and losing all of my steering wheel controls..

That's exactly what mine has done several times. Dealer did some software updates today so I'll see if that helps. I haven't been able to figure out any patern to re-create it when it has happened so just have to drive it a while and see if it happens again.
