Auto Start and Heated Mirrors

The heated seats in my 2002 Yukon Denali were much, and I mean much warmer than my 2015 Silverado. Also the stereo was several times better in the 2002. Not saying the 2015 does not have some strong points but I am surprised at some of the weaknesses.

Remote Start Auto Heated and

Cooled Seats

During a remote start, the heated or

cooled seats can be turned on

automatically. When it is cold

outside, the heated seats turn on,

and when it is hot outside the

cooled seats turn on. The heated or

cooled seats are canceled when the

ignition is turned on. Press the

heated or cooled seat button to use

the heated or cooled seats after the

vehicle is started.

The heated or cooled seat indicator

lights do not turn on during a remote

start.

The temperature performance of an

unoccupied seat may be reduced.

This is normal.

The heated or cooled seats will not

turn on during a remote start unless

they are enabled in the vehicle

personalization menu.

This thread starts up every winter so there is some reference material here http://sandyblogs.com/techlink/?p=2797

Also, GM changed the way trucks react during remote start in the 2014 early builds to use previous settings instead of conditions. There was a calibration update to change this back to conditional operation. Later built 2014 and 2015 should operate conditionally. Heated seats aren't impressive anyway, at least on cloth, a customer at work just got new freightliners and there seats are cloth as well there hit within 2 mins, my truck, about 10 mins of on time, even with a remote start
