I've seen and heard that the limiter is raised on the new 2014 6.2l. Does any know what the limiter is? I've seen 110mph on the new 6.2. Was there more?

I read it and am still a bit confused. Sounds like it is 135 mph for top speed limit. Is tst correct?

So what's the deal with this speed limiter. Guys are saying there's is 98 and same as previous Gen and then others have said it's 135. What's the answer? Or why the differences.

does it really matter? do you need to go 135 mph?

To take a top heavy truck over 100mph is moronic at best. Prior gen vehicles I beleive was advertised at 100 but actually was 98. My 5.3 and the book says I beleive 135.

Why it may not be smart or wise to drive over a certain speed, I don't like the fact that GM has put an max speed on my vehicle of 98. I owned two corvettes one had atop speed of 196. I never drove the corvette at what I considered to be unsafe speed. I will say that I feel safer in my sierra at 70 on I-85 then I did in the corvette. I have been places in this country were the road was straight as an arrow, you could see to the horizon and there was not another car on the road. I believe the driver is responsible for the vehicle and the speed should be determined by the conditions not a number set by someone else.

Speed limiter is there because of tire speed ratings or driveshaft speed ratings. Go watch some youtube videos of built pickups blowing out driveshafts on the dyno at speed and see if you want that to happen to you on the freeway.
