Doesn't look like I'm going to have tips in before I go in for the magnaflow install. Oh well, at least that's a simple fix lol.

What magnaflow did you go with? Also how are your routing your pipes?

Ok. Well definitely getting rid of it then! Haha. I plan to get a tune at some point down the road so AFM won't be here for long. From what I've heard/read, the V4 drone with the 18" isn't too bad. I had a Flowmaster Super 44 with turndowns from the muffler and that V4 drone was AWFUL! This shouldn't be anywhere near that. My Muffler should be here tomorrow. Getting super stoked to have it put on

I have an 18" and no, its really not that bad. I honestly don't even pay attention anymore. At first I didn't like it and I would unconsciously pay attention to it. Now I can drive for hours and not even think about it. I think I'm gonna get Justin to tune it out next time I sent a tune in though.

Overall very happy with the 18" Magnaflow. Very little drone, great tone, and pretty non existent while cruising. It seems to have hit the nail right on the head with what I was looking for. Here's the only 2 pics I took for now. Not the best. I'm debating on whether or not I like the angle of the tip. When it was up on the stand he asked if I liked where it was before he welded it on there and I said yes, but I'm starting to think I should've gone closer to the wheel. Any thoughts?

Thanks man. I think it just looks strange to me right now because I didn't originally have a tip. Love the sound tho. Thanks for the help with the muffler!

I don't know who told you the 18" is too loud but they were lying. I have an 18" single in, single out and for me its perfect. Not too loud, but not too quiet. Luster has a 14" that he daily drives and sounds great, which I don't even think thats "too loud" either.

Agreed... the 22" is just a stock replacement that is maybe 5% louder than stock (guessing). The 14" gives you a hint of the muscle-car sound. If moderately louder, but still pretty tame, is what you want, the 18" Magnaflow is the way to go.

Ya it looks good. I'm back looking at duals again and this set up looks like it's in a similar position as yours. Yours may be closer to the wheel actually which looks better in my opinion

Thanks man. It's growing on me every time I go outside and see it. Those are definitely further from the wheel as there is a 45 degree bend to put them in the corner of the bumper. Mine is more or less the factory pipe location. I just had him cut 8" Or so off the factory pipe so he could keep the tip tucked in. I didn't want it sticking out past the wheel or quarter panel

Now all you need to do is get rid of those hideous All Terrain wheels. Don't worry though, I can take those off your hands.

Haha I see what you did there. Man I love these wheels. One of the reasons I went with the all-terrain package. I'm just waiting for these tires to wear out so I can put some new tires on there. Going with some 305/55/20 Toyo ATII. Can't wait.

You'll rub your sway bar with that size of tire on a stock wheel. I have 18 offset and 295/55/20 and rub the sway bar slightly at reverse full lock

Yea that's what I've heard. I've looked at the tires tho and with the 305/55 I get the Extreme tread pattern. That's really what I'm after.

Ya I looked at the 305s also. I went with the extremes but in the 295 size.

    • Atlas,   Then following your logic we can't believe any story that the MSM produces? I mean it's documented they heavily donate to Democrat candidates. Vote Democrat in high percentages. Many MSM talents are married to Democrat politicians, Gov. employees. That goes for on-air and off, personalities and reporters. So they would all be biased and nothing they produce is to be believed in your mind?   Again the article simply was about ways AI can be used for pricing products. Nothing discounted current situations as a factor.    Again keep looking through your left/right lenses. I don't live my life that way.   And as a heads up this thread will be cleaned up again as much of this is off topic and is receiving
    • Yes, and only a couple years before delivery. 🙄
    • So you're saying toss the baby out with the bathwater? @txab posted article was her take on how AI can be used to manipulate pricing as it already does and has been rebuked by the judiciasry in housing. How AI can be and is used to maximize refinery or even Amazon operations all of which are true but because she is who she is; that makes what she says about what is true, false? Is that something akin to Pre-justice aka prejudice?    Look, I'm first in line to approach all information with caution just because we live in a world where people like to lie about someone or something with such a straight face and in such volume that it makes digging to the truth wearisome. Meaning I understand the skepticisms but if I were to toss out everything a person is for a view they hold then my pool of people to draw wisdom from would be non-existent and I'd be forced to reinvent the wheel daily. Not practical.    "Be innocent as a dove but as cautious as a serpent."    Test each word. Every good lie is part truth or no one would believe it. Find the truth in it and reject what isn't.    On this one, AI is being used to do what has been done by hand for hundreds of years already but at such speed, the point of a computer, that it is more easily monetized. This one wasn't that hard a lift.    I wrote a few formulas in a Lotus 123 program decades ago, a series of linked Macros actually, that allowed a daily inventory to be turned into a running P&L and production plan. Something that took three departments a week to assemble now took the time it takes to input the 'daily changes' in inventory. Later that was ungraded to the more powerful Excel program an and integrated with bar code scanning, inventory to supply was done once per shift. It had a huge impact on production scheduling, Seamless interruption flexibility, inventory error reduction, raw materials cost effective utilization and scrap reduction. Huge improvement in the bottom line. I spent months on that and AI could have done it in minutes. So yes, it not only can be used, they would be foolish to not try. The legality, ethics and morality are not the domain of AI. Humans need to keep a reign on it.
    • New to this forum.  Also looking to tune a 6L80 and trying to work out all the issues in my transmission swap.  I have a 6.2 diesel (1983) and have removed the TH-400 and about to put in a 6L80 with a TCM-2600 interface and don't have a clue what I doing after that.  Did you (Leatherneck/RAV3) get your slip resolved? I too hate to spend that kind of money on a tuner that hopefully I will not need too many times although from what steelerdude15 added about the HP Tuner being great for diagnostics would be a plus.  I am also from WNC but below you in Columbus.  Any helo would be greatly appreciated.
