Thanks for sending! I see the problem. The system for a 6.2L is 3.5" and all they offer is a Sport.

Plus they don't even offer the dual exit systems for the 6.2L anymore, just the single exit ones.

I had a new exhaust installed. I went with the Gibson stainless steel dual sport. It was 531.99 shipped to my door from Jegs. Its a direct bolt on including stock hangers. I had them remove the flapper and it still sounds good in V4 mode. I tried to get a video of the sound with my phone but couldn't get it to come out

Side note, I had a borla turning muffler installed with the stock piping and left the flapper and resonator. Around 70 mph I get the helicopter sound, even in V8 mode and it seems like it shakes the seat, very strange. Anybody else have that happen in v8 on the highway? I might try removing the resonator. If that doesn't help I will scrap the whole system and start over with a new pre-fabbed kit.

Anyone know what exhaust Lingenfelter uses on their reaper and G2? On their site it just says corsa performance exhaust, but i can't find any tips like they're using.

The only split rear tips i've seen are these.

The tips might not be Corsa just because the rest of the catback or muffler is Corsa. They look like just regular slash cut tips like I have.

Where can you get regular tips then? I like how it's flush with the bumper and not over extending beyond it. Also like how you can't see most of the exhaust pipe under the chassis they've got it hid well or tucked up under there.

I don't know about the dynomax VT system on these trucks but we put a VT muffler on a blazer xtreme that we put a 6.0L in and the valve rattled very bad after about 2 wks so we scrapped that... but I have the aFe catback and it still sounds great no drone no flapper to go bad

I've been looking at cat back systems, and I think I've decided on the AFE system. Good price, and seems pretty mellow sounding. Also have an Airaid CAI, which I think has a nice sound while accelerating, should sound good with the exhaust.

I simply cannot decide what exit i want. I like split rear on a lot of other vehicles but when i see it on the Silverados/Sierras it bothers me because they usually stick out too far for my taste or you can see a lot of the pipe running under the chassis.

Thinking about turn downs.

I am in the same boat as you. I would like a dual exhaust as well but it looks a bit much under the bumper. I do like the one you posted here. Kinda conceals it. I am also in a toss up in if I want my truck to continue to sound quiet or actually give it some rumble. Decisions, decisions.

Going with Corsa Sport Cat-Back #14866 - but first have a question ... tried to find this answer but gave up and hope someone knows.

  • Is this exhaust is bolt-on, no weld required?
  • If that is true, what kind of time is involved?
  • And - lowest shipped cost I can find is $1126.79 (autoanything.com) ... anyone see a better deal?
Check marylandspeed.com. $918.68 with Free Shipping. Sometimes they will run a Sale too.

Always the lowest out there on Kooks and Corsa For every GM I've had. Great guys too.

If you're finding it too loud stock, then you're definitely in for a shock with headers. When I put the Corsa Sport on my truck, I thought it was way too quiet with the factory manifolds and the volume with headers was just right (loud, but what I was looking for).

You are correct, it will be way too much for my taste. Going to sell the Corsa and go a different direction.

Hello, I've got a question about my exhaust, my knowledge on this subject is very limited! My bud talked me into getting a magnaflow muffler and dumping it before the axle. So no flapper valve any more and no resonators. I have disabled the v4 mode with a tuner but the sound is too obnoxious for me while at cruising speeds. It's much louder in the drivers seat than passenger seat for some reason. I plan on just going to a muffler shop and getting them to take the turndown off and run a pipe back out the back,

What I am asking is, what would result in the QUIETER setup, muffler with single pipe out the back, or muffler to dual pipes out the back? Thanks

    • And to top it off finally.......................these small GM LS engines are designed to SPIN!!!!!  Why choke them down to just off idle for cruising.  Why/how the "bean counters" have influenced the "engineering department" at GM is beyond me.   They took a solid platform of an engine and turned into a joke in OEM form!!!
    • Atlas,   Then following your logic we can't believe any story that the MSM produces? I mean it's documented they heavily donate to Democrat candidates. Vote Democrat in high percentages. Many MSM talents are married to Democrat politicians, Gov. employees. That goes for on-air and off, personalities and reporters. So they would all be biased and nothing they produce is to be believed in your mind?   Again the article simply was about ways AI can be used for pricing products. Nothing discounted current situations as a factor.    Again keep looking through your left/right lenses. I don't live my life that way.   And as a heads up this thread will be cleaned up again as much of this is off topic and is receiving
    • Yes, and only a couple years before delivery. 🙄
    • So you're saying toss the baby out with the bathwater? @txab posted article was her take on how AI can be used to manipulate pricing as it already does and has been rebuked by the judiciasry in housing. How AI can be and is used to maximize refinery or even Amazon operations all of which are true but because she is who she is; that makes what she says about what is true, false? Is that something akin to Pre-justice aka prejudice?    Look, I'm first in line to approach all information with caution just because we live in a world where people like to lie about someone or something with such a straight face and in such volume that it makes digging to the truth wearisome. Meaning I understand the skepticisms but if I were to toss out everything a person is for a view they hold then my pool of people to draw wisdom from would be non-existent and I'd be forced to reinvent the wheel daily. Not practical.    "Be innocent as a dove but as cautious as a serpent."    Test each word. Every good lie is part truth or no one would believe it. Find the truth in it and reject what isn't.    On this one, AI is being used to do what has been done by hand for hundreds of years already but at such speed, the point of a computer, that it is more easily monetized. This one wasn't that hard a lift.    I wrote a few formulas in a Lotus 123 program decades ago, a series of linked Macros actually, that allowed a daily inventory to be turned into a running P&L and production plan. Something that took three departments a week to assemble now took the time it takes to input the 'daily changes' in inventory. Later that was ungraded to the more powerful Excel program an and integrated with bar code scanning, inventory to supply was done once per shift. It had a huge impact on production scheduling, Seamless interruption flexibility, inventory error reduction, raw materials cost effective utilization and scrap reduction. Huge improvement in the bottom line. I spent months on that and AI could have done it in minutes. So yes, it not only can be used, they would be foolish to not try. The legality, ethics and morality are not the domain of AI. Humans need to keep a reign on it.
