My new truck - 2014 GMC Sierra All Terrain SLE

Two weeks ago I traded my 2011 Silverado in for a 2014 GMC Sierra. My Silverado was great, put 112k miles on it during three years, with no problems. My truck is my work vehicle and will get used a lot. I am an Accident Reconstructor (www.EvansAR.com ) and travel to accident sites. I go off road and haul equipment and trailer. In the first 10 days I owned the 2014 I put 2500 miles on it - New Orleans, Houston (twice), Dallas & Fort Worth, and Austin. I like it, very happy with it.

2014 GMC Sierra All Terrain. The "All Terrain" package is 4x4, off road package, cloth seats (something I really wanted) and some other nice options. I pulled off the chrome running boards. I also pulled off the chrome side trim. I'd like to change out the chrome mirror caps and door handles.

I used this forum a great deal when researching which vehicle and options to get – so thank you all!

Nice truck James. Would you be interested in a trade of rear bumpers? I only ask because you mention you use your truck for work and I have the bumper with steps and have been looking for someone to trade with. I'm located in Houston. We could work something out maybe trade plus cash on my end considering you would have to paint??

Also, if interested. If you buy the handles and mirror caps already color matched, I can change them out for you, dealer wanted to charge $700.00 to swap mine out and ended up doing them myself.

brentadams646 – I will think your offer over, I have thought about changing out the painted front and rear bumpers for chrome – as the chrome will hold up to abuse of off road better (but the painted does look nice and unique).

I like this color and several others, but I chose the silver because it hides dirt and scratches really well.

And BPM is my most listened to station, I have an odd mix (8, 33, 44, 51 and 114) 

The whole FM / bad radio reception issue – I have not listened to FM since I had the truck. XM, Pandora and podcasts on my phone.

I hope to go on more adventures with this one in the coming years.

Nice truck z28evans. Will you be selling the chrome side trim? If you are, I will consider making you an offer.

Nice looking truck Evans! The silver is a good look on these rigs. I'm in Houston too if anyone wants to swap window trims I have the chrome and would like the black

brentadams646 where did you get you window tint? What brand and how dark did you go? I'm in Houston also.

this is the tint that was applied by the dealer, I will be going to a shop called EVS Motors in Houston, I used to work there doing sales and personally vouch for that shop having some of the best quality tints and best tinters since they typically only work on exotics. Last time I was they they were tinting and detailing a new Aventador. Talk to Ted, he's the man - 713-588-2308 tell him I sent you.

btw this is standard 35% tint just on a cloudy overcast day, sometimes it makes tint look a little darker. I will be taking it to ted as soon as I have some time for 5% tint and clear bra.

clayp, I was talking about the trim that sits below the "texas edition" emblem not the window trim. Thaks though. I have the chrome window trim and would like the chrome side trim to match.
