Thank you sir, I wanted this hood since day 1

I finally pulled the trigger and installed in combination with the k&n intake, let me tell you, changes the truck completely. Very happy. I think they only have one option for 14-15 trucks, go to their web site, price went down since last year.

You will not regret getting it, plus the ram air is fully functional.

Good to know! Gonna be a bit yet before I do much to the truck. Took a hit on pay for work etc to get back to school. Can only do 1 thing at a time unfortunately. The hood will be last. Right now I'm just eliminating the chrome. Not sure what I'll do with the bumpers just yet though.

I know what you mean bro. When I decided to purchase the Silverado I had two thing going for me,

1) owner of the dealer is a good friend, so I got a killer deal,

2) I decided to sell my beloved Bmw and that allowed me to buy her straight up.

Since I have no monthly payments I can splursh from time to time.

You can wrap, paint, powder coat or plastic dip, some are cheaper than others, all have pros and cons and on all you have a chance of chips. Take it easy and enjoy the process (that's what I do)

This truck is exactly what I want (minus the hood...although, it does look great as well) my silver Silverado to look like. Looks incredible. Did you remove everything for paint, or did your painter do that labor as well. Mind me asking how much you have in the color matching?

thank you, i hated the oem hood, this one has a fully functional ram air and the look i wanted.

yup, my shop had to remove all metal parts, sand blast, prep and paint. i didn't do a thing :D

4 day job and i think it was around 650 all in, but they also cutoff the rear bumper and installed my LED pods (flush) that turn on when i hit reverse.

Man....just really love that truck. That's a fantastic price based on what I have seen. Too bad I'm so far from Miami. :banghead:

 thank you brother. it's been a trial and error, believe me.

yes, the price is good. i have a long term relationship with the owner, he has done several of my cars and i am always sending jobs his way.

it's hard to find people that do good quality work down here, they kick ass.

I want to color match my Slate Grey Metallic Z71 but the local shop I usually use quoted me 2000 to prep and paint the bumpers. That's crazy!

Yeah, that's high... Had my front and rear bumpers powder coated to match the rest of the truck (quicksilver metallic) and I think they charged me $700
