Did the 9011 seem to be a whiter bulb than the stock one by chance? I found the matching H16 for lamp bulbs made by Phillips as well.

The 9011s are brighter. But if you're looking for whiter, these aren't going to make you happy.

I am going to hold off then, while I want brighter I also want a whiter bulb and not the yellowish halogen color we have now.

Has anyone tried the oracle LED replacement bulbs? Just curious. I have HIDs right now and am saving for a 4" lift. After I get that and 33" nitto terra grapplers then I'll look into saving for some of the Oracle LED bulbs if no one has gotten them by that time.

The VLED headlight LEDs didn't work that well in GM projectors, b/c of the "two LEDs, one on each side" setup, so I'd imagine the Oracle will have the identical issues.

For the Chevy non-projector guys, it's a sweet upgrade.

Has anyone had any luck with the LED's in the fog lights? How bright are they compared to HID's? I have HID's in my fog lights right now and I'm starting to notice they are getting a little disfigured after about a year. I'm sure this has been discussed and I tried to read through this but there's just way to much information here to digest all at once..

From what I've read, the regular type LEDs that most people are using are more for looks rather than for functionality. By regular type LEDs, I mean LED bulb replacements that have several LED lights all over the circuit board.

I have not seen anyone use a fog replacement such as Oracle's high powered 5202 LED replacement. They are rated at 2,200 lumens per bulb, so I would imagine that they would work effectively, however, they are a bit pricey

I run the VLED LED fog light bulbs...plug and play. The function "OK" and look phenomenal!

LED fogs for function will require retrofitting a 9006 or similar type LED bulb: http://www.vleds.com/headlights/led.html
I personally haven't seen any legitimate 5202 LED bulbs other than the Oracle's. Most on here so far has just added LED fogs for looks.

Let us know in the LED Fog Topic (http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/156170-led-fog-bulbs-lights/) if you decide to buy the Oracle 5202's!

Maybe not what you're looking for, but I saw a complete direct replacement fog light housing that used a 55w halogen bulb.

how have the 9011's been working for you spurshot? any problems? planning on getting some soon.

They've been working fine. While they are an improvement, I consider them an interim step until a complete headlight assembly becomes available from aftermarket suppliers with a good HID projector. I've ordered an HID 25w kit for the fogs. But I'm having second thoughts. I have HID fogs on my 08 and they are useless unless you are somewhere that there is no oncoming traffic at all. If you have shut down an HID, it just takes too long to light back up. Im considering two other options. Adding some LED light bars behind the grill and possibly getting some high output replacement halogen housings for the fogs.

I'm going to have the 9011's in for now since it's summer. Hopefully by winter they'll come out with a more easier plug and play HID option. Getting some vled's for the fogs aswell and will be switching those out in the winter too. Man GM needs to do something about this. Doesnt help that most auto shops you go to looking for specific parts dont have them yet because the truck is "too new".

Still looking for some white headlight bulbs....still think the standard 9012 "white" replacement is best option?
