I ordered a set of N-Fab wheel to wheel but in the textured finish. It seems that these are not kept in stock and are a special oder from N-Fab. Was told 2 weeks, but I am counting on 4. I'm into the 3rd week now and getting really anxious to get them and put them on.

I'm not sure. Maybe they went up in the price and I just got lucky (again lol)?

I just opened the box (it's been sealed since I haven't had time to install them) and I received a wiring harness labeled "plug and play conversion kit for 75154-01a". It has an odb2 port plug with it so I assume it's the right one.

I know when I purchased every other company had the harnesses listed at $150 so they may have slipped up and gave it to me cheaper than they should have and now they are pricing them in line with the other companies.

Edit:

Here are a couple pictures of what i received.

Man I can't catch a break on this lol Dasan told me $150 the other day now I called back today so see what a random sales person would tell me and he said $209!!!! Guess you just got lucky on the $115, going to go ahead and order it from Summit for $150 shipped

Just wondering....as I am considering a swap to the AMP powersteps.

The OEM running boards/side steps on the 14' (and likely other years) have 4-braces holding each step in place on either side which provides a solid foundation for both driver and any passengers.. The AMP power steps have 2 per side. From experienced owners/users, have you found the Powersteps to be as strong in terms of weight bearing as the OEM 4-brace styles?

As many, I like the look and the functionality of the Powerstep but find myself a bit concerned that they may not offer the strength of oem style.

They are every bit as strong as the OEM boards, look a whole lot better too!

The Amps seem to tuck tighter to the rocker I think and the new part # for the boards that connect to the OBD 2 port that also have redesigned hinges is 76154-01A. If you need the port open they also have a pass thru harness part # 76404-01A

So I installed my AMP Plug and Play boards today. I think I almost ran the battery down playing with them and watching them work. :ughdance: Awesome product.

Install was not too bad. Things to watch out for. When you attach the motors to the arms make sure they are not fully extended or it is a pain to tighten bolt 10. I found that you could easily attach the motor to the arm once the arm is attached to the truck. But you must attach it before you attach the running boards. I would also complete all steps including the LED lighting attachments then do the running boards. This is so that you do not have to be a contortionist to wire tie them up after the running boards are on. I would put the running boards on LAST once everything else is in place. It took me about 4 hours but I was also installing the POP N LOCK at the same time since the wiring was going into the same area. Not having to crack open the doors and hack that wiring I am sure saves a ton of time and future failure points. As my truck is on 20" tires I did not have to use any jacks, just my crawler and me on my back.

local shop said that no one is making a body mount for the new 2014's that works right. They tried a set from someone and they said once they bolted them up the bars were almost touching the bottom of the cab on the rear of the truck. I bought raptors online and installed em myself for about 1/2 of what the localy yahoo's wanted to charge me..

Installed the Plug-N-Play AMP steps this weekend. Wow what a difference the OBD2 plug wiring makes when installing, piece of cake. Now I'm hoping maybe somebody here who has installed these can either take a pic or provide some advice because I am very dissapointed in how these steps hug up against the rockers. On the motor side of the boards it tucks up nice and tight with hardly any gap, but on the idler side it leaves a about a ~1" gap because it doesn't have the motor to lock up the hinge. For somebody OCD like me this drives me insane and looks terrible, which should not be an issue after dropping this much $$$ on steps. Anybody else have this problem? I'll try to take pics later today...9+

I bought iron cross 4" round stainless bars that mount to the body and they fit perfectly. I can take pictures after work...

After reading about all the steps installed here and the great detailed information, I decided to go with some AMP Powersteps with the new plug-n-play pass thru OBD II harness. I'm going to talk to my Snugtop dealer tomorrow, who is also a AMP dealer/installer. Just so you know, I'm not a fan of steps on 4x4s. I've seen several trucks with their rocker panels crushed by low hanging steps to the point the door wouldn't open. But my wife wants steps because we she has a struggle to get in now that I leveled it and our mothers are both very old. The AMP powersteps have about the best clearance and still have a low step height.

Installed the new P&P Amps today on the wife's truck and they fit nice and snug to the rocker and the install was a cake walk compared to the old way.edemutav.jpgne3y7yde.jpgutugy2ar.jpg

This pic confirms my suspicion that the gap exist on all AMP steps and it's not just mine! This is very upsetting! Look at the back cab, the step is flush, then look at the front fender side it has a 1" gap. Minimal I know but on white it stands out bad compared to your dark colored truck Edited by baggedlvintegra
