Cool man I appreciate any feedback he might be able to give...I'm highly experienced and have done several sets of AMPs, but I'm about ready to rip these off, literally, and mail them back in pieces to AMP...

Sounds like they should just swap them out and send you new idler linkages. That's a pretty bad gap. Is there a lot of play in the idler? mine was fairly stiff. When held in my hand, it would drop to fully extended under it's own weight, but slowly.

I have the same issue on my wife's truck hitting the parking brake, I thought it was from having the body lift on it and yours is way off level for sure, ours is not that far off its only a 1/16" I checked it again.

What about the 6-8" piece of rubber that your supposed to put around the parking brake assembly? Mine hit also, but the with the rubber wrap, it's a non issue.

I did use the rubber, but your not "suppose" to have too on the 1500 Crew Cabs according to the directions. I figured mine hit due to the body lift, since it had to be adjusted for it, which puts it in a different location then the stock adjustment. Easy fix... I was just surprised he had an issue with a stock truck and apparently you did too?

The drivers side rear bracket lines up directly with the parking brake assembly. When the steps are up, the bracket does hit the brake assembly. I don't recall reading that I didn't need it due to me having a crew cab.

Does anyone have or has anyone seen the N-Fab steps (the regular ones) with the textured finish? I ordered some about a month ago and they still haven't arrived. Waiting on a sales rep. from the place I ordered them from to call me back to see what the delay is. If it's going to be a lot longer, I may just get the powdercoated steps and be done with it. But I would like to know if anyone has any experience with the textured ones and if they are worth waiting for.

They all basically look the same... just do some image searching on google. If I still have my directions I'll scan them and post them up but I think I threw them away(they weren't even for the right truck but they got me started).

Looks like the mount up to the same locations as the AMP steps from the previous picture posted.

Its a very simple design, I'm sure you could makes some and even make them look better/more functional.

I looked on Amazon right after you posted that. The part that Amazon is selling is listed as C1489CC. The textured finish that I ordered is C1489CC-TX.
