EaZ8 Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 does anyone have the GM tech wiring diagrams and service manual? i really dont think GM has a different wiring harness in each build based on just a jump seat or center console. i bet the plug is under the carpet or tucked under the dash somewhere. 2
EaZ8 Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 that or there is another adapter harness. i should be able to get into the GM manuals sometime this week. i plan on doing this mod, i really wanted the center console but im not into splicing wires on a truck that im taking delivery of tomorrow. 1
tbarn Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 No adapter harnesses. 1st and 2nd design IP harness for truck with console (D07). 1st and 2nd design for truck without console (D09). So their are 2 available harness for each application. 4 part numbers.

EaZ8 Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 (edited) just checking the service manual...still doing some digging. there is a section that says to have a assistant lift up the carpet, and i took a small screen shot of the center console harness where it plugs in, it looks like it would be right where the ashtray is i think. edit - here is the only picture i can find that shows where it will plug in...kinda. i obviously dont have my truck yet so i dont remember what plugs are in the jump seat armrest and what are in the center console. the information they give the techs is very vague because this isnt really something they want to be as a dealer installed upgrade, its all just unbolt this unbolt that and detach electrical plug. then for the seat it just says remove the 4 bolts and unplug wiring. i really think the harness is in the truck, ill do some digging once i pick mine up...this should be plug and play...hopefully. tbarn Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 If it's any consolation, if you use the harness out of the old seat, all of the same plugs you have now will work. No rewiring required.
schlegle1 Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 the parts are ordered for my new console from our dealership this week. I was wondering if anyone could give me a step by step of how to get the wiring in the front to work ( I understand no one has gotten the usb's to work yet) but what did you do to get the front power outlets and the LED inside the console to work? Pics or step by step of wiring color/location for each? This would be really helpful. Thanks
