Schlegle1, did you leave the original harness in the new console? I left mine in and added the jump seat harness. I tapped into the original power outlet wiring coming out of the front of the ip.used power and ground to run the other power outlet and power to the wht/brn wire on the new harness to power the light. Ran a ground wire from circuit 1050 in the picture above to ground. I think it is a larger black wire. 15 amp fuse runs 2 outlets and light. it's an led so no real power draw to speak of. As I think back, I don't think the rear outlet works but I don't care. I'll never use the 3 I have now. As I said in an earlier post I would probably do it different if I did it over again. Was up against the clock so I didn't have the time to really think the process through. But everything works that I will ever need so it isn't worth changing.

I actually swapped harnesses (removed the one from the full console and then removed the one from the original jumpseat and plugged it into the spots on the new console, because i didn't know how i would plug the now console harness into the truck since it had two completely different ends) was this the right thing to do? and if so where should i tap into in this harness in order to get the outlets that you got working to work? Or should i switch back to the harness that came with the full console? and if so how do i plug it in since the harness main plug is different from the original?

I know I'm a real pain in the A** with this but I'm just trying to get a diagram set up for everything being wired so i do it right. Especially the LED, if i could get a diagram of how to tap that one in that'd be awesome. (the way i take it is i run the white/brwn wire to power (+) and the black wire at 1050 i run to a ground(-)?)

The new harness will not plug in anywhere. I cut the large connector off and used the wires that I needed.

not to bring back a old question of mine but.

i think we(you) discovered the center console has 2 wiring harnesses:

#1 - Comes from the radio down

#2 - is in the center console that powers all the outlets and light.

and the jump seat has 2 wiring harnesses:

#1 - Comes from the radio down

#2 - is in the jump seat that powers all the outlets.

harness #1 is different depending on which option you choose , center console or jump seat (which i still think is a fail on GM....)but can we just buy this harness to make it all plug and play?

Sure you can. As far as I know it would be the whole ip harness. Someday I'll have a customer console apart and see how this is all wired from the factory. Could be tomorrow or maybe a year from now. Or may I'll grab one off the lot and pull the front plate off and grab some pics one of these days when I get some time.

if that harness isnt insanely overpriced ill probably go that route...also as long as its not insanely hard to chase the wires.

one other thing im curious of that you may know is that i heard the OEM heated switch buttons are under the dash, any clue if they are also running under the seats?

i was looking at getting Katzkin leather seats and adding the OEM GM heated set bezle with OEM GM heated seat elements.

ive heard from a friend that these are VERY good quality seat covers that actually fit very well, they used them to recover Fords at his dealership.

yea I agree, i guess my biggest question is:

I swapped the old harness into the new console so that i could plug it into the main plug in (the big one under the pass seat) You said you kept the new harness and just cut the end off, how did you hook the harness to the vehicle then?

If anyone is looking for the console organizer #22817343 they have them on Amazon for $39.49 shipped. I looked at some of the big GM parts dealer sights and they all wanted $35-40 plus $12 or so for shipping.

Was the bracket (22776807) required for the installation……tbarn, or anyone?

Yes, if you want the front secure and rattle free. Doesn't cost much in the big picture. It is the only thing holding the front 1/3 of the console.
