Nice, I bought all my console parts, just waiting for free time to do the install. Did you get the front three USB'c to charge?

No, I just did a basic install I have everything working that I had with the jump seat but nothing extra.

Ordered my parts at http://gmpartsheadquarters.com/ --- They had all my console parts in stock at the cheapest prices I could find. Received everything in great condition.

Hey guys I am researching doing the center console swap. I read through this post I am pretty sure I have most of the info I need just curious with the front bracket. Where the Ash tray compartment and the 110v plug is now. Do you have to modify that area to get the front bracket to mount properly.. Thanks Jay

My console finally came in today.Ordered mine from gmpartsheadquarters.com (aka Perry Buick,Norfolk Va) too. They didn't have the console so GM was going to pull one off the assembly line for them but they ended up getting it directly from the manufacturer,Was sent emails every day about the status of my order.Great customer service!!They definitely earned my business.

Now I just have to wait for spring so I can install it.

Just completed my install of the center console. Love it. Definately worth doing if you don't need the jump seat. The steps and comments on this forum were very helpful. Ended up taking me about a 8 hours total. Got all the parts from gmpartsheadquarters.com. Shipping was 4 days. I have all outlets up front working, LED under lid and the 3 usb's to play music, pandora and charge devices. Both 12v outlets in the rear and storage part of console work. I did not connect the usb, sd reader and aux jack in the under lid storage compartment. Not important to me. 4 usb's , 4 12v outlets and the AC outlet are enough. Removed the jumpseat wire harness complete in tact(a pain just everyone says), spliced wires in for the rear most outlet, added about 6" of wire to the under lid outlet, zip tied it to the new console harness and plugging back into original under seat area. The mini usb, comm plug and 12v outlet ( originally connected under lid in jump seat) all plugged right into the front panel. The 2nd 12v and 110v outlets get the connections from center stack up front. I tapped into the front 12v outlet to power the LED light (always hot). This approach might not be the best for all but it leaves both wiring harnesses mostly in tact, allowing for later mods if needed. I now have my jumpseat for sale on ebay if anyone is interested. One other note: you can attach the front bracket 7mm bolts (4) without removing the radio bezel and lower piano switches. Just need to reach a little to get the top 2 in.

I'm having to take my entire console out due to needing the jump seat. That's what happens when you have too many kids. Send me a message if you're interested in it. Not really come up with a price yet.

The console itself comes complete with the arm rest and back panel, the diagram is a little misleading.I suggest doing what Myself and some other members have done, find a truck on the lot that has the exact console you want and take the vin from that truck to the parts dpt, and they will give you the part numbers. You may want to contact jchildress it sounds like he may have a console he wants to part with.Good luck

    • I don't wanna do major surgery/upgrades, behind-the-dash work, add amps, change radio etc. on my '26 std cab WT. On the WT, it has the base 7" IOR infotainment setup, and only two speakers (doors). Since I listen to classical, looked around for speakers that do well and dug thru reviews. Two-way speakers were found to be better than 3-way. So I've ordered a pair of  Infinity Reference REF-9632IX 2 way speakers.  [These may  or may not have been discontinued / succeeded by the 3-way ...9633 ones.]    These speakers are lauded for 3 ohm and 94db sensitivity spec so they'll work well for ordinary base car radios without amps and offer better performance (quality,  strength) than  default base paper-cone speakers. They'll be installed in a few days and I'll let y'all know what I think. Bill W San Jose
    • Thanks!   Changed out the rear shocks today to Bilstein 5100s.  So far feel much better. The stock Rancho were wore out.  Lots of heavy hauling (2 moves, home renovations, etc).  Next up is new BFG tires Monday.  Cant wait the current tires have little to no wet traction and are super loud (hum)
    • Ok, I got the all the codes. What do you all think would be a place to start?
    • How about I just point to the factory pans stand pipe little drain plug and claim its a pan with a real drain plug !. I just couldn't swallow the fact that a Dorman pan which at this point is probably the only pan out there that fits the gas version truck cost that much up here in Canada so I decided initially anyway to skip it and see what I thought of pulling the pan method and down the road if I felt inclined enough then I would either install a drain plug kit in the factory pan if there is enough room for it, or have a bung welded onto it, or put an aftermarket pan on. The thing is if the pan is not pulled then the magnets in the pan can't be inspected and cleaned or if wanting to change out the filter. However of course it certainly would make the job easier to be able to drop the oil first before having to handle the pan if dropping the pan that go around was the goal.    I knew a guy locally that was doing custom field spraying years ago with a pickup pulling a ground driven sprayer, I believe it was a GM pickup with an automatic trans. He had a drain plug in his pan and would drop the oil out of it once a week and top it back up through the dipstick tube to keep refreshing a portion of the oil often and that made the transmission last far longer than had he done nothing. Soft fields pulling 500 gallons of water at the start of each mixed up sprayer tank batch and in low range sucking along. I imagine he got some tips from other custom sprayer outfits doing the same thing at the time and learning from their blown up tranny mistakes. Transmissions then had no lock up converter so would cook the crap out of the fluid slipping that much and it would not have been synthetic fluid either.
