Yea, my bad.

Tbarn, you seem to be very knowledgable regarding the console swap. Can you explain to me the purpose of the mini sub cable needed for the hmi module to wherever it needs to be ran? Thanks in advance

My experience is this. Upon applying 12v and ground the the front usb ports they did nothing. I added the usb cable and now they will charge but not communicate. Seems as though the outlet is turned on via the usb cable. Anyway that's how I remember it from over 1.5 years ago. I don't think I have ever used any of the front outlets. Usb, 12v or 120v. 2 usb and sd in the console is plenty for me. Plus I added wireless charging to the lid so I don't need charging. http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/169848-3-coil-wireless-charger-install-in-2015-sierra-denali/

As far as the mini usb cable, I have seen tbarn and other members say that they have used this, http://www.amazon.com/ACDelco-19303328-Original-Equipment-Cable/dp/B00S0ERKIS, as the cable connected to the hmi, but the connectors need to be trimmed to fit. Although at this point, I am still unclear of the purpose of the mini usb cable that plugs into the hmi. Maybe someone can explain it.

Yeah that's the one.The online GM parts sites have it for around 13-14 bucks

Edit: they seem to want as much for shipping as the cost of the cable,Amazon it is!

I am close to ordering the parts needed to do the swap. Before I do, would anyone in the Mid Atlantic area be interested in trading their black center console for the jump seat w/console? I have the bench seat in black leather. My Z71 dbl cab has 350 miles. Let me know soon if interested.

I like it, More info on what you did to make this work, please...

Im assuming you are using bluetooth to send audio signals? did you make the iPad bezel yourself?

Yup bluetooth. used an ipad slide in kit from fifieldfab.com and glued it to a double din kit from amazon. Used body filler and kitty hair then the ususal paint process. Opend up original screen and glued it to the thing that holds the ipad. (Ipad is removable) charges from the plug that was in center console. All original functions are there.

Can the rear part of the console be removed easily? I want to mount my DVD player module in there if possible.

So,I struck out with gm parts direct, everything in stock but the console.Same thing with gm parts online.

Just ordered with gm parts headquarters, good prices too. Thanks for the tip nolabell

Hopefully it works out this time.

I was told by gm parts online that the console is a discontinued part even though it's sitting on the lot in a brand new truck and my dealer says gm has them in stock in Lansing Mi.I hate to pay what the dealership wants for it though,

Sorry for the rant

I am curious how hard it is to remove the rear panel facing the rear seats as in the pic below:0f180e3eb13be1e11eabd77e41e5e8c6.jpg

Part 22 is the one I am curious about.

Don't quote me but I think it is just snapped on like other trim pieces and secured with two screws in the lower recess,Someone else could probably give you a definite answer though as I haven't tried removing one,
