I have had lift on for almost 2 weeks and the ride is great and in my opinion better than factory ride. I was told it would not affect factory ride but I didn't know it would get better. I will take back to installer (4WheelParts) to have everything checked and re-torx after 500/1000 miles. If ride changes I will inform on this forum.

Prevents oil build up in the intake manifold and on the throttle body. If you do a search on the forum, you'll find a bunch of pictures of members trucks where they are getting a ton of oil in the catch can after only like 15k miles or so. Multiple threads on the issue

Those of you that have done this, has the dealer said anything about it? Good, bad, etc?

Now I'm looking at a Pro Comp 6" with MX 2.75" coilovers and MX-6 rear shocks. Screw the blocks and AAL, I was gonna upgrade to BDS glide-ride lift springs. I've had my fun with axle wrap and wheel hop lol, might as well upgrade and do it right the first time.

I picked the pro comp lift cause I heard you don't have to modify anything, and the BDS kit you have to grind down the differential

Hit 7k miles:

Have had the truck 12 weeks and 2 days. That's a hair short of 600 miles a week. Not too bad

Have had the truck 14 months, 8, 200 miles. That's a hair short of 585 miles a month. Not too bad either.

That's true on Pro Comp 4" Lift that I purchased - no modifications.

Yup, you are correct. Finally found the install sheet. Even if I do it the way I said, it's still almost a $1000 cheaper than a BDS kit

You can get the 6" bds kit with coilovers, fox 2.0 shocks, boots and rear leafs for $2600. You just need to go through an authorized dealer/installer.

I'm guessing that's their pricing? And then the other $1000 for install?

Actually, all the BDS dealers i've spoken to have said $700 for installation.

That ain't too bad. The shop up the street that I frequent is a BDS dealer. I'll have to talk to them about pricing and such. Northern VA tends to be one of the highest priced areas for most things lol
