Nice. The wait must be killer.

It is actually! But have to wait for the paint to cure to apply the paint protection unfortunately.

Hopefully I can pick up a set of tail lights and some katzkin leather in the next couple of weeks to finish it all at the same time.

Nice!!! Been waiting on a company to release some like this. GM won't sell them as an accessory and you can only get them on truck if you build it like that on LTZ or High Country trim !

If it worked properly and the auto was on yes.

Here's a video so you guys can see what works and what doesn't

...

Just so you're aware, you purchased the silverado/2017+ climate control unit. Which is why the color is mismatched to your red leds. I don't know if you care all that much, just figured I'd point it out. It would drive me insane.

These are GM OEM Steps that came off of a 2017 Denali that I picked up from mayfieldjeff.  I have them both physically installed and did a temp test on the driver side.  My truck is an LT and plan to get these fully integrated and operational on my 2016 Silverado LT.

I've got a 30 second video clip of the driver side moving.  [emoji3].  The driver side was temped wired up last night.  I took a beating installing these because they are so stinking heavy, did it in my sloped driveway, by myself, and will all 4 tires planted to the ground, and no lift on the truck.

Needless to say, the driver side had movement when I opened/closed the door, the button the back of the board (when pressed), move the step rearward and forward.  I used low gauge wire (since this was all i had), and the steps in their fully extended position. LOL.  I have all the connectors/terminals ordered, a full wiring diagram of how they are to be wired up.

So did I get them working on my LT?  Not fully operational YET.  But yes, they did move.

Yeah, tons of "no joy," >$500.   I know of something else that I would have rather spent that on.

Took a weekend trip to Terlingua with the Mrs and hit a new high score thanks to cruise control and long, flat, straight roads.

Yeah it's pretty bad and it's yearly. We're expecting it to rise starting the new year. Not looking forward to it at all.

    • I understand that. The price is what it is, though. The price is what oil costs today, where our choices have led us, where supply is, and where demand is, in the market that is. Speculation is for futures, what we think the price will be, but with incomplete information at the time the price is forecast. I know you know this, but you appear to be intent on making a secondary point here about what you think the market could or should be, if only other choices.   In 1975 it became illegal to export US Crude. I'm conflicted on what the best answer is. Free markets allow export in pursuit of profit. But there is also a lot to gain by producing and consuming our own oil here. How do you reconcile it?
    • That sir is a choice. And even if it were not for all the reasons stated, this disruption has zero to do with the reality of the actual logistics and everything to do with the greed of SPECULATION. Spot price is irrelevant to reality.
    • What I think you're saying is there is supply here at home, and in Venezuela, and we could ease pricing if only it were favorable to do so.   Well, yes?   But that's not the current market. Supply isn't what could someday exist, if only, it's what producers are willing to produce and sell at a certain price point.   The national price of single family homes would come way down if we'd just slap together a few million homes this summer.   RAM and GPUs would get a lot cheaper if we just set up some factories to produce a bunch more and stopped using it to build out AI data centers.
    • The turn signal/multifunction switch is faulty.  I've seen a few of these go bad at work.
