Ya I thought about it hard, but I'm old school and really like diy figuring it out.  

Plus I don't see the value in things this days. $500 plus tax to me is crazy for a few wires and a switch.  Besides that make it 1 grand just to have tow mirrors.  Nope🤣

 

Boost did not have wiring for a 1500 work truck, so Phil has the market cornered and I'm sure he knows it...

 

Then there's the fact I can't find what I need and got scammed lmao!

 

These people where like,  we never switched anything.  I'm like I just want my money back lol.  We gonna see in a couple hours if I get the cash back. I'll get some regular switches and figure it out.

Hey does the passenger seat bottom move up and down? I know they are not installed yet, but it's just seeing if the switch moves up and down. I've only seen the seat switch to move the seat forward and backward.

I believe it does I'll go double check the one's I installed in my 2018 Sierra and let you know. Yes the passenger seat has full movement like the driver seat

Very jealous.  I have been wanting to do this mod myself but finding seats for a reasonable price in good condition when i had the finances to tackle this hasn't happened yet.  Where did you get the seats?

Installed a color matched rear bumper today.  I changed the front bumper out a couple of weeks ago.  I had the chrome but didn't like the look, especially on the Rally edition.  Over a period of 3 years I had first plastidipped the chrome bumpers in red and then painted that red and then added clear coat to the front bumper.  Looked good but the clear coat started peeling so I finally pulled the trigger and ordered color matched bumpers from MBI. 

 

The first front bumper had some issues with paint from shipping and MBI was great about it.  They shipped another one out with no fuss and told me to keep the first one.  The rear bumper came in great.  Overall the process was fine but getting the internals to the bumpers transfered took most of the time and was a majority of the hassle on both.  One side of the front bumper internals took a lot of effort to get it to fit right in the nwe bumper but I did finally get it put together and looking good.

 

I'll grab some pictures later.  Let me know if you need great used condition used chrome front and rear bumpers or a painted vistory red bumper with some paint issues.

A salvage yard in South Dakota. My parents came to visit I had them pick up the seats and bring them with. If you do get yukon seats you will have to add some wires between the front seats for the heat and cool to work on driver's side.

When I was more actively looking I had read through a couple of the threads on the swap.  I know that the Harness Dr. guy (I'm old and can't remember his real name) had a whole write-up and the wiring harnesses for it.  Also need to get new switches to replace my heated seat switches too. 

 

Not to be rude but how much did you end up getting them for?  Did the salvage yard confirm that the seats work properly?

Yes Phil does have the wiring needed for the truck seats to work in the trucks, and you do have to swap out the switches. I had to do everything the hard way. My 2018 I got the seats from a 2500, they are wired differently then the 1500 seats. And then for the 2014 I got these 2020 yukon denali seats also wired a little different. Lower level models need the power wires from passenger seat to driver seat and also the seat position sensor. If using the yukon denali seats there's 4 more wires that need added that are signal voltage wires for the seat heater. I just got all the stuff to make these wires and will be adding them soon.

im not sure if i already posted this question but i have a 2018 silverado and i wanted to put a line lock on it, it says it can handle 3000 psi but i daily the truck and drive it across the state a lot, is it safe for that? i dont wanna cause an accident or have brake failure

      I agree, simplicity and reliability matter more as vehicles get more complicated. A V8 work truck option with fewer electronic features and a stronger warranty would definitely appeal to a lot of buyers who use their trucks for real work. Customizing it with trusted outfitters is often the best way to get exactly what you need.webcrimsNY

      I’ve heard similar complaints from newer vehicles where the factory “premium” systems don’t always live up to expectations. A good installer should be able to improve the sound without turning it into a bass-heavy setup. I’d look into upgrading the front speakers, adding a quality DSP amplifier, and possibly improving sound deadening first—those changes usually make a much bigger difference than just adding a subwoofer. Hopefully someone local can recommend a reputable installer in the Las Vegas/St. George area.

      Do you remember that Harley Davidson was more successful (solvent) when it produced about 60% of the market demand (by design) and forced wait times of up to three years? Even when your turn came around it was, "Take what we are giving you or move to the back of the line and start over". HUGE markup's were 'normalized' and dealer killed. 40% markup and no floor plan? What's not to love? Greed will kill them yet. They have surplus production and customer base is tanking. And still they think nosebleed pricing will work.

      The engine was done as part of the 6.2 recall?   You'd have to see if your VIN also has the 6.2 engine special coverage on it.  Coverage number is N252494003.  If you have this, your engine is covered under this and NOT the GM replacement part engine warranty which is 3yr/100k from the date of install.  The 3yr/100k mi warranty is in effect for non warranty purchases.     This is not any different if it was replaced under warranty without a recall or special coverage.  So if you had a 5.3 and it popped at 3 years in at 50,000mi during the 5yr/60k powertrain, the replacement engine would not get the 3yr/100k, and instead gets the remainder of the 5yr/60k as coverage.     So N252494003 gives 10 years or 150,000mi of coverage, which ever comes first, starting at the vehicle in service date.  So if your in service date is 01/01/2022, N252494003 gives you special coverage of the engine until 01/01/2032 or 150,000mi, whichever comes first.  So if your start date was 01/01/2022, you'd have left 5 years and 4 months (lets round to august 1st), or 62,000mi left of coverage.   So you need to know your in service date to know how much coverage is left.

      Okiee dokie there bud, way to take things to the extreme.   I guess you missed the whole point and take things way to serious. I installed different EV6 style injectors that just so happen to be larger in my car running the same LQ4 engine and with a better spray pattern than the stock style injectors and I noticed no difference in the idle quality. Kinda was my round about way of saying that even if you put the same size but better style injectors in your truck, you will likely see the same thing.    I'm sure you're great to have conversations with in person if that's how you act through a keyboard. One little things sets you off and now I guess my dick is all up in your face.
