Bought my 14 in February. They were really selling a lot of Sierras up here the last weeks of Feb

Maybe so.. I looked at the Ford, and even the new one just looks ugly and typical same Ford styling.. even the interior looks like the old one.. If you look on that page the Silverado and Sierra are seperate. Combined and they make 50,000 units only like 5,000 below f150

I noticed that too about the new F-150 interior....not too different. I think like any other vehicle you see in a picture, it takes time to grow on you. Any serious truck buyer is going to want to see the competition to ensure they get the most bang for the buck. If the new F-150 is competitively priced and gets better MPGs, Chevy will lose some perspective buyers.....another signal on how competitive the truck market has become.

I was close to going the Ford route. Had two F150's before and loved them both. Interior was pretty awesome in the FX model but just wasn't impressed with the Ecoboost. It was just a basic 6 while driving and you had to put your foot in it for the power. So then I started looking at the GM trucks again. The GMC really started to catch my interest. The new 6.2L in a double cab sold me! :driving:

I lmost bought a SCREW Ecoboost FX4. So you're saying the power delivery on them was just as bad as some here complain with the 5.3? I never got the one I test drove really up on the throttle as I tested it around town.

Yep! Drove one and it was nothing what I was expecting. Really dissapointed! But I'm glad things worked me back this direction. I wasn't impressed with the 5.3 either but after doing research the 6.2L was exactly what I was after. I'm kind of a hp junkie and like things responsive and fun to drive.

Even though my hot rod days are behing me, and there are no more smokey burnouts or sliding around corners in my future, I do still think it would have been nice to have gotten the 6.2l.. I probably should have waited for it, but then, at the time I had to have it RIGHT NOW! :)

Won,

I just heard on the news a few min ago that your employer Ford is recalling over 1 million cars. Something about reduced engine power. Anyway.. I'm still waiting for you to post all the details on this? You seem real quick to bash GM when you have a chance.

Chevy can't blame the weather for the collapse of Silverado sales. Sierra, Ram & Ford were all up yet Silverado falls hard. Hint GM: The snow is not deeper at the Chevy dealerships. The truck is ugly so GM people are going to GMC.

Won: I've never heard the answer to this question, but what kind of vehicle do you own?

      After I wrote that reply I went for a ride. 85 F out. So trans started at 85 F and it shifted the same as it did an hour latter at 168 F. I've never actually recorded the to cold to shift point but it is under 32 F before they start hanging on to a lower gear or leaving the converter unlocked. Both intended to heat fluid.    Yes, brake or bake. Absolutely.      Your welcome. True research ended decades ago. Field trials are still in play.    There is a thing called oxidation onset temperature. This is the heat related oxidation not the O2 exposure kind. For mineral oil that starts at 140 F. So what happens after 140 F? Each 20 F cuts fluid life in half! Does using a Full Synthetic improve that? Yes! By how much? Depends on the base oil type and a few other factors. But enough to notice. Some esters are even higher. There are even synergies between types the will raise it higher than any one component is alone.    Then there is "Hindered" oils. Antioxidant additives. Hindered Polyol Esters can sit at 500 F for years in a turbine.   When a blender brags his oil will 'take 500 F" in service he doesn't specify for how long. Water will dance on a 500 F hot plate for several seconds. @newdude put up a chart showing the relationship between fluid temperature and it's life in an automatic transmission. Here's a version of that chart for Group III based oils. These temperatures are those in the pan as observed as 'normal'. that is you drive as you do for as long as you do under what load you ask of it and whatever that temperature is this graph applies to. Flash temperatures of a few minutes isn't what his means.    Note that fluids held at a constant 240 F have a service life of only 20K miles. 220 F explains the factory exchange limit, eh? My equipment I keep under 180 F and I'm good if the cooler will hold it as low as 140 F. But that's me.

      Im in the same boat. Carlink adapter comes tomorrow and dev account is in process. Would you he able to send the new instructions my way also? Question, do you have to change code and republish app everytime developer updates? Thanks for your assistance, truly the only thing i cant stand about my truck is the carplay limitation
