Cocoa Dune Interior - floor mat colour choice

Finally. Yeah, not really the same as the GMT900 trucks. I wish it was. Loved the interior on my suburban.

Also, not as thrilled with these as I have been with prior Weathertech purchases. Both passenger and drivers mats are warped. I was hoping it would settle down but they have yet to do so. The back mat is perfect and covers underneath the rear seat in addition to the foot area.

I had WeatherTech's in the past and the fit was perfect, I felt they were the only vendor with a nice fit as Husky's at the time were horrible. Judging by these pics the Husky that Cansled has is a much better fit and shape. Looks like I will be going with black Husky weatherbeaters.

I will say though it looks like the Weatertech's have higher coverage on the console side by accelerator pedal. This is where I feel the Husky Weatherbeaters could be improved. Also just a note that the rears do NOT go under the rear seat on the Double Cab....not sure about the Crew Cabs. Personally I like it that way because it is easier to get the mat out to clean without removing my underseat storage and car seat.

Saw a C D interior yesterday on a '14, with gray mats. Looked good. Less noticeable to me than black or the tan of weathertech. Depends on what you like I guess.

Well, I just ordered the Tan Weathertechs so I guess I will see if I like them.

If you get a chance post a pic of the gray, never considered grey.

Sorry the C D interior truck with the gray mats was at a dealer lot and not sure when I will be back that way. If I get by there I will for sure snap a cell phone shot if still there. Looked OK to me but everyone will have a different take. One could throw in a lite gray mat from Wal-Mart to see then return I guess?? The weather tech gray is very lite in color.

Interesting...my WeatherTech mat goes all the way under the rear seat in my Double Cab...were you saying the Husky mats do not go under the rear seat or were you referring to the WeatherTech mats?

I changed to the Aries mats - they fit better and stay put better on the passenger side. They also go all of the way under the rear seat. I'm hanging onto the WeatherTechs for now, but I may decide to sell them eventually.

The Husky for the Silverado DC does NOT go under the rear seat. I like it that way because it is easier to get them out to dump mess/rinse off.

Thanks. That's what I thought, but wanted to be sure.

I like having them go all the way under because I take my under seat storage box out some times and like the additionsl coverage.

Different needs for different uses. I respect that. Thats why there are options to pick from.

I got the black Weathertech floormats. Looks okay to me. In bright sun, black and brown does look strange, but most times I am not looking at it. They cover most of the carpet so you really don't see the cocoa carpeting.

This is what I'm leaning towards right now. I ordered the rear tan Weathertech for my Denali from Amazon, just went and threw the mat in and it looks horrible!

Color is way off from the sample chips that Weathertech sent me.

I called Weathertech and asked them if they ever do custom colors, to which they of course said no.

There seems to be a market for the custom color option, too bad they're not willing to accomodate the request. All it would take is changing the tan die to a brown die before putting the mats into the forming machine.

I have not bought weather tech's yet due to deciding between black and tan. I am leaning toward tan but would like to see some pic's.

Don't go tan, it looks bad. Just tried it and I'm going black for sure.

I just traded in my silverado on a Sierra with cocoa dune. I kept my Weather tech black mats but think I'm going to sell them and get the tan ones. Man I love the color interior!

As stated, you'll be disappointed in the tan color.

I have the Weathertech in Tan. They don't match. I will take photos tomorrow and post them up and let you decide.

X2

I would like to see pics of the Tan weathertechs. Weathertech was supposed to send me a sample in the mail but I have yet to receive it. I don't really like black on the dark brown. I am even leaning towards the OEM Chevy Coca brown ones with bowtie and the one piece back mat. But I would really prefer the weathertech coverage.

I got the sample chips and was pretty happy with the tan color, that is until my rear mat came from Amazon and the color chip is obviously way darker than the mat itself. I was very disappointed. This is exactly why I ordered just the rear from Amazon, that way I can return it hassle free.

I put the black Husky Weatherbeaters in my Cocoa/Dune interior. IMO there is plenty on black on this interior (console, door handle surrounds, dash, vents, steering wheel) to compliment the black mats. Like already mentioned....in a couple of days you won't even notice the color of the mats.

Those pictures are quite depressing, I was hoping the front floor mats would fit like a glove, there is obvious warpage on the sides. I've had Weathertech floor mats in other vehicles and they usually fit like a glove.

Just based on your pictures alone, I think I'll be going the Husky route, they seem to fit a lot better and they're much cheaper.

Thanks for the pics.

I totally agree.

I was very displeased with those pics above. Weathertech is known to have the best fitting mats in the market, bar none. Apparently their quality control has taken a downfall.

Do you mind posting a picture of your Aries mats in the Coco Dune interior? I am thinking about getting these

Thanks

Thanks, I would like to see how they match. I can't find any pics with the beige in the coco dune.

I know what you mean. There are Weathertech tan mats in coco dune interior, but not beige. Maybe contact Aries and ask them? Or see if they will send you a sample of the three colors?

    • I could be interested if they axed cylinder deactivation and at least have a button for stop start. I’m sure the HP numbers will be higher. • It's official. GMC pulled the covers off the next-gen 2027 Sierra 1500, and we got the first official look. Full breakdown here: https://www.gm-trucks.com/next-gen-2027-gmc-sierra-1500-v8-trim-changes/   The quick hits: SLE and SLT are dead. The new core retail trim is just called "Elevation". Two new V8s, a 5.7L and a 6.6L built with high-performance Corvette architecture roots. No horsepower or torque numbers yet. The 2.7 TurboMax finally ditches the old gearbox and gets the 10-speed automatic. AT4X moves to larger standard 35-inch tires with front and rear e-lockers, Multimatic DSSV dampers, and heavy-duty Jounce Control Dampers. Over 60 inches of combined display on Denali Ultimate and AT4X, complete with a motorized articulating center screen and an adaptive passenger screen. Seven simplified trims across the entire model line to clean up ordering confusion.   So let's get into it: New 5.7L and 6.6L gas V8s with custom active exhaust tuning and a Corvette connection. Is this the exact engine lineup half-ton traditionalists have been begging for? Purging the iconic SLE and SLT names after all these years to lean entirely on Elevation as the high-volume core. Bold move, or a mistake? That motorized articulating 16.3-inch screen that slides up to reveal a hidden dashboard vault. Awesome mechanical theater, or does it make you nervous about long-term durability? Physically lowering the headlamps in the front fascia to improve road courtesy and stop blinding oncoming traffic. Smart real-world engineering, or does it hurt the truck's aggressive stance? What trim are you putting your name down for on day one? Drop your first impressions below.
    • My overnight hospital stay turned into five.  I developed a post operative fever and an erratic  heart rate.  A blood clot in the lungs was the culprit.  This is apparently a common post surgical complication and easily remedied.   I was the youngest in a four bed ward and a Doctor with a Geriatric specialization was in charge of my care.  All of the nurses were good and some were outstanding at dealing with old people.  It was very evident that my age triggered a different level of care!  My advice to any senior going for a hospital stay is to have a trusted family member advocate visible.  If not, you will still be well cared for, but you may discover that your voice  isn't as strong as it once was!
