Looks like it replaces. If you look in solo pics you can see little 'wings' on each end with screw holes for mounting in stock location.

In order for them to just fit on top, they'd have to be rounded off without those wings.

After posting that, I seen the picture with them on, almost looks a little too... Well... Christmas-ee for my taste. Just personal preference, and I have nothing against Christmas for god sake... Lol

I think I am in the minority when I say I like them. I actually wqnt to get a couple of small strips and place them inside the step and tie them into my cargo lights so it will light up the step at night.

I like them. I think. I'm planning a full LED change when new red taillights come out. 3rd brake light, taillights and under tailgate strip. Maybe.

My first post.

I have purchased these and the install was horrible.

No instructions came with the parts. Anzo ignored my email. So I had to figure it out myself.

Remove the three trox screws and the one 7mm hex bolt and washer. You then have to pull the top corner out

to see the 2 internal 7 mm hex bolt washers to remove the original flat plastic diamond plate.

Feed the 4 wires through the slot the old plate came from.

I used a long magnet to guide the screws back inside then tightened down. Reinstall the torx and one bolt then wire up the units.

They do look good, but the install was a bugger.

 

Anzo to GMC Wire Colors:

 

White to Lime Green

Blue to Brown

Black to Black

Green to Green
