Bilstein 5100s on front and back (front adjusted for max height at ~2"), Readylift 3.5" block replaced factory block for added 1" in rear, Nitto TerraGrappler 275/70R18s on Mayhem Warrior 18x9 +18 offset wheels. No rubbing.

Looks great. How do you like the G2's?

I am on the fence with the same size or 285/60 on stock Z71 wheels.

Went with XD Series Crank wheels, 18x9 0-offset........BFG KO2 275-70

Debating on 2" leveling kit or bilstein shocks to get closer to level......what does everyone prefer?

What's your goal? Most folks level, then put those 33's on. You got them to fit on stock suspension with 0 offset rims, so you have no CV angle issues or stress right now.

For me, your truck looks "overstuffed" with too big tires (but I like your rim choice). It needs some height either by a level, a suspension lift, or a body lift.

I agree, i want to raise the front end just not real familiar with doing that (first truck to install leveling kit/shocks) i guess i was just wondering if using leveling kit vs. shocks, if one causes less issues with the overall suspension than the other

I did the Rough Country 2" spacer. Worked great! My buddy did also, then switched to Bilsteins. World of difference. If I were to do it over...I'd go the Bilstein route. Much improved ride. JM2C

I like the $50 2" level kit. But that's just me

I like the Rancho quicklift RS9000 adjustables. Simple, pull out the factory strut and bolt in the new unit. Takes an hour or less to do both sides and you don't have to disassemble the factory strut like the billsteins.

I get it. The rough country was just loosening the strut and sliding in the spacer. Some of the top spacers made you cut the strut bolts. More work than the average diy driveway dude may want to do. Just my opinion.

I did the spacer first go around, Hated the ride and ultimately went with the RS9000 quicklifts in the front and rs9000 rear shocks and Cognito upper control arms. Ride is drastically improved over the stock set-up and the adjustability on the shocks is nice as well, you can find a nice balance between ride and handling without dropping 3500 dollars for FOX, ICON, King or Radflo adjustable coil overs. Granted they wont perform off road like them but I doubt many people are doing the type off roading to warrant the cost for them either.

That's awesome! I really haven't found a lot of difference in the ride with the lower spacer. I've only been highway driving though

All that said. I have a problem with the spacer I'll just go full retard and do the 6-7" lift. I hope the spacer will keep me happy

Do you have any more room in there for more tire? I ordered 275/65-20. Hope it doesn't rub much

    • Good question, I don't remember for sure but I believe it was the HD. I will check and get back to you.
    • Point of the post sir was that while both wages and cost are rising EVERYWHERE; the cost is rising faster EVERYWHERE than the ability to buy EVERYWHERE. We're not going down the location rabbit hole. I'm aware of what economic migration is. I've lived in four states including Texas.   It's what "Purchasing Power" means.   I'm not telling you what I think. I'm telling what the government, your government, data shows.   It wasn't an argument. It wasn't a suggestion. It was a statement of FACT. You are absolutely entitled to your own opinion. Your not entitled to your own facts. If you and I were, they wouldn't be facts.    fact /făkt/   noun Knowledge or information based on real occurrences. • Probably a one and done post, but do you have a CEL on the dash? Was having issues with my transmission, fortunately only a week, and it turned out to be the transmission harness. Valve body was in good shape, so new harness with all the sensors attached, new fluid, and filter. Seems to have worked so far?
    • Two interesting tidbits of information which are NOT related were just released.   One, regarding the possible thrust bearing issues / engine failures with the 3.0. Demonworks just did a segment in which they believe they may have found "a" or "the" cause of thrust bearing failures: A missing thrust bearing. If the engine doesn't have all its thrust bearings from the factory, the missing bearing can cause extra play which ends up destroying a nearby thrust bearing which then sends metal through the engine.       Of other importance, Lake Speed Jr released some interest information regarding oil weight selection for the 3.0. Comparisons of:   AcDelco 0w20 Dexos D Mobil 1 ESP x2 0w20 Dexos D Mobil 1 ESP x2 0w30 Mobil 1 ESP x4 0w40. Mobil Delvac 5w40   Spoiler alert: The Mobils are PAO Ester -base and the ACDelco is a Group III base. Mobil shows lower wear in their tests for similar weights. Additive packages between 20-30-40 weight ESP's appear to be the same, but only 0w20 is Dexos D licensed. Wear is even more reduced with 30 and 40 weight ESP although all perform very well and resist shear and provide very similar viscosities within temperature operating ranges in the 3.0.   There are even more surprises, so just go watch it.
    • Hello Guys I'm new to the form,         I just put a 7-inch Rough Country lift on my 2016 GMC Sierra 1500 with the 5.3 and I also put a Borla exhaust on it. But I noticed when I'm in park or in neutral and then I rev my truck up really quick there is a bad click noise and I think it's coming from the motor somewhere. Anyways I got a video of it I will attach below I was just wondering if you guys think its rod knock or lifter tick or something like that because I know the AFM kind of made the lifters weak on these trucks.       Thanks!!!!!
