Had my dealer in CT install them last Wednesday, $900 in parts whoch were the chrome cap mirrors with two harness'. Labor was $500 but after an issue occuring while i was there i cas given back the $500 and will be comp'd half the labor. The ambers are running lights, turn signals in the glass, cargo led's when switched on, headed and power adjustable lens and manual extending and powerfolding. They are great and for the price reguardless of the issue i wanted them. Trucka alos 6" BDS with Toyo Open Country MT's on Stock 20" rims.

Prices for the power fold are all over the place.. Best I found for powerfold with 2 harnesses online was $930+ $60 shipping... No tax. Planning on installing myself.

Does anyone have any issues/problems with driving through the I-PASS (or whatever your version of tollbooths are called) with the tow mirrors? I drive through one twice a day ... seems awfully tight in that space, even with just the standard mirrors on my 2015 LTZ. This makes me a bit nervous. How sucky would that be, to put these on, only to get them whacked off in a tollbooth????

I live in IL also. I have not installed mine yet. I might have them painted at the body shop, so it may be a bit before install them. But, I have thought about it since I have bought them.

Yep. I'm going to have them painted the silver ice code paint color, if I get them. Just going to have a body shop do it for me. I'm also going to have them paint the tailgate handle, as well. As for the tollbooths, I guess we'll just have to be careful. Dropping the truck off tomorrow - having black Katzkin leather put in, and going to have them black out all of my emblems. Not sure how well the Plasti-Dip will hold up over the years of winters, salt, etc., but we'll see.

I am selling a set of brand new tow mirrors right now. I went with chrome instead.

Hey all, looking for some quick info I hope.

I have a 2014 Silverado that originally had the DL3 RPO power folding mirrors. I upgraded to the Power folding trailer mirrors and used some of the wiring "hacks" from early in this thread to get them to operate as running lights, no reverse light functionality.

One of my mirrors was damaged while parked at a train station and in my search to replace it I see that there are now harnesses being sold along side the mirrors.

My questions are:

1) are these new harnesses compatible with 2014 Silverado 1500s?

2) do they enable the reverse light and running light functionality?

3) is some sort of flash required to enable additional functionality?

4) If #1 is yes what part numbers do I need?

Thanks for the help in advance!

Jeff

For those who have installed and replaced your wiring harness, can you walk me through it?

How does the boot disconnect from the A pillar, etc...

TIA!!

Read the thread on 2014/15 HD tow mirrors. It's in the For Sale section. There is also a good you tube video on door panel removal.

Success! About 2.25 hours of work. Door harnesses and power fold mirrors. All work as it would have come from the factory this way. Amber running lights, cargo LED, memory functions, etc...

Like new DL3 mirrors with harnesses for sale ;)

Does anybody know why DQS Camper Mirrors are not RECOMMENDED for Sierra1500 NON-FLINT BUILT TRUCKS with DL3 mirrors?

Posted

C4Ranch congrats! Any pics. I am interested in doing the same mod. Everything that I have read said that it is not recommended upgrading DL3 mirrors with DQS on a non-Flint built Sierra 1500 (2015). Was your truck Flint built?
