Yes sir. They used the existing wires since those worked for the stock power folds.

 

I changed all cargo and back up lights to LED. Blinding now :-)

​That's probably your issue then.. If they didn't change the harnesses some of the features won't work on the trailer mirrors.

All features work - Amber LEDs, Power fold, Power adjust, LED White lights. Just the MyLink set up and the key remotes don't allow the folding. How long does the BCM take to update?

Minutes to my knowledge. start to finish on my mirror install was less than 2 hours.

Hi,

Fairly new to these forums, but have been trying to read up on what I need to do to get my 2015 (I believe MY15i) LT Z71 5.3L Crew Cab from the factory installed DL8 mirrors to the DQS mirrors. Could anyone confirm that I need the following mirrors, harnesses and switches?

 

23241465 - LH outside mirror with power fold (superseded from 22960565)

23241467 - RH outside mirror with power fold (superseded from 22960566)

 

23171564 - Driver's Door Harness (to get power fold from DL3 to work on my DL8 truck)

23171567 - Passenger's Door Harness (to get power fold from DL3 to work on my DL8 truck)

 

23488411 - Driver's Mirror switch

 

I have a feeling that I'm going to require the Passenger's Window switch to allow the power fold to work - can anyone give me that part number, if so?

 

And then, will the dealer apply the software update to make the power fold work?

 

And, will they install the software update even if I manage to find all these parts used, and install them myself?

Need a little tech help. I have a 2015 LTZ and installed the 465 and 467 power fold mirrors and correct harnesses 90 days ago. All worked great including power fold etc. Very happy. The amber lights used to flash twice when locking or unlocking the doors with the key fob. They have since quit doing this but the Amber lights operate with the headlights so assuming LEDs are still good. All other functions operate but no Amber flash. Any thoughts ? Thanks.

I have a 2015 2500HD LT manufacture 3/2015. It is a AVF minus A45 and came with DPN mirrors. The truck also had the 23171572 & 23171566 harnesses. I am switching to DSQ mirror due to garage door opening clearance. I have installed the following:

23241465 & 2324167 mirrors

23488411 driver side powerfold switch

23147589 switch harness. It is the memory compatible wiring but the only one the fits the switch connector.

23245541 passenger window switch

23147593 passenger switch harness

The original functions of amber lights and cargo/LED lights work. BUT, no power fold or power adjust. I noticed that only a few of the pins in the 23171572 & 23147589 connector ends mate in active slots.

Have I missed a part or do I just need a BCM flash.

I just ordered a 2016 Denali Ultimate and ran across the same problem as a couple of you on here, I was not able to spec the tow mirrors. I have read this tread from front to back and wanted to make sure I gathered everything correctly.

 

This is what I'm after:

 

Mirror: 23241465 & 23241469

 

and

 

Harness: 23171564 & 23171567 (I am assuming that I may not need these harnesses if everything plugs in and works correctly they first time?).

 

My questions to you:

 

Do I just order them from the dealership or can I find them cheaper somewhere online? (I have no problem diving into a project like this with the power of the internet behind me) I would like to save money anywhere I can on this project.

 

I see Therado2016 was going back and forth with BCM flash and harness issues, is this something I will have to look into as well? I would like the mirrors to dip when the truck is put in reverse, is that going to happen with out the harness swap?

Hey guys, sorry i'm out of town on Vacation without my truck right now.. so I can't get my invoice from when I had the dealer install them.

 

first off though, Yes you need to get the harnesses. We (the dealer shop foreman and I) tried using the standard harnesses just to see while we were putting them in and the mirrors did not work right. Features were missing.

 

Second, as far as dealer or not, it just depends on if you want to mess with installing them yourself. I had the dealer install while they were putting all my other accessories on for me. They ordered them for me as well.

 

Part Numbers were as follows. (i found these earlier in the forum, and when I ordered at the dealer we confirmed that's what hardware it was)

Also, as far as the mirror reverse tilt and the other options in the personalization, mine did end up with that. But I can't be certain if the dealer did a BCM flash or not. I need to get with them and see. My guess would be that yes they did.

I installed my mirrors with just the door harnesses. No flash needed. The reverse tilt was a feature in the controls section to turn on or off. My truck was a 8/15 build date and had the DL3 and A45 rpo codes.
