2015 towing mirrors

My trailer led spot lights work when the cargo lights are on and in anything but Drive. N or R or P, they light up. The amber running lights are on with the daytime running.

I have a 2015 denali hd. Tiny mirrors so just switched to the OE power folding. Fold functions as does the turn signal in glass and adjustment. Rear backup lights not at all and forward amber lights only on remote. I saw someone had to rewire a door. I can't imagine that to be correct on a truck with power folding already. Not sure when the backup lights and the amber front facing ones are to come on.

You do need to do some wiring to make the amber and the backup lights work properly... the harness is different for the DQS tow mirrors, they add a few wires that are typically not there. Your ambers are currently working in place of the old puddle lamps on the DL3 mirrors that's why the light for a short time on a key fob unlock command. The backup lights are supposed to come on with your cargo light switch, but if you didn't add the wire they are not connected.

FYI, Side by side comparison mid way through the mirror swap on my 2015 Denali...

PokoDenali are those going on leveled/lifted truck or stock? I'm debating on getting a set for my diamond white 2014 LTZ Z71 but I'm not sure how they'd look on a stock set-up.

Has anyone ever had their bcm flashed instead of splicing wires? Just curious the level of effort and potential cost associated. I have a 15 denali hd with the duramax so I have the 65/69 setup thanks to good advice on this forum. I have a buddy at a dealer is why I ask about reflashing. Seems like an easy task but if the issue is missing wires then I see a re-flash will most likely due nothing. Damn GM!

There is not a reflash available for this issue. Mine are connected this way: the ambers are front-facing turn signals (through an in-mirror splice) and the LEDs are connected to the back up lights at the BCM. I will soon connect my cargo lights to the back-up lights too.

My truck is a stock suspension 1500 Denali 4x4, no lift or level kit on it for now...

Added one more pic to show the mirrors in the power-folded position, I was a little disappointed they didn't fold in tighter to the truck but with the shape of the door it seems to be the best they could do...

Just to confirm I actually looked over the wiring diagrams for our trucks in depth, its clearly specified in the diagrams that the wiring harness gets additional splices and jumper wires installed on the trucks with the Factory DQS tow mirror option, it has nothing to do with the BCM program. I belive all the factory specified differences in wiring are located at the main distribution panel on the drivers side under the hood and the passenger side distribution panel behind dash.

Really wish I did more research on the chrome clad mirrors. I read early on that there would be no power fold option. I hated the chrome so chose the black. Well, they came part of the max tow package but I would of requested power folding. Only thing I feel I am missing, but not a deal breaker or impossible to swap them in.

do you have a part number?

The part numbers are 23241465 & 23241467, there are some older part numbers floating around but those should be the most recent as of 2/5/15.

I don't remember which of those numbers was the driver side and which was the passenger side.

ok thanks! did you have the cut into your harness to make the amber running lights and cargo/reverse leds work?
