Took a knife and dremel to it......

 

Cut off a bunch of fuel hose and ordered new, everything not metal is getting replaced with Aeroquip Socketless.

 

Also ordered a Stainless Steel upper radiator hose.

 

Remember the Tank to pump hose I put on a few months ago? I was careful to replace with a similar hose. While looked for hose for the carb lines I ran across the fact that hose doesn't handle the newer fuel well, so it dropped fuel rating due to ethanol being in gas now.....so I'm replacing that again with Aeroquip Socketless this time. All NHRA approved. That hose was probably pre ethanol so that probably why it was on.

First off I struck gold. Well, found some anyway, below the door on the bottom of the rocker some red has chipped off to reveal what I believe is some of the original Coronado Gold spring special color.

 

Cut the rest of the fuel hose off, then realized there is a section of rubber return line, but it's in good shape so I'll leave it alone.

 

So I thought the line was drained, started cutting into the hose with the dremel and gas squirted out, that'll scare ya when your using a reinforced cutting wheel a MM from metal! That "not for fuel hose" has been on since September and wasn't oxidizing yet so no harm done from That.

Got the new lines on and have "blood stain" bruises on both palms from installing it. Then, I cut the stainless steel ribbed upper radiator hose and wasn't thinking clearly, and was rubbing off some metal shavings and caught a metal burr and sliced my finger fairly deep.
