Just completed this with ease thanks to spurshot's instructions. I went the 10 to 18 route (on w/highs) since I don't want them on at all times. I'm fine with just my LED DRL's.

I've been wondering would it be possible to have the lights underneath the side mirrors turn on when you press the cargo lights button? By this you can turn on the side mirror lights with the cargo lights. And with the previous mod the reverse would turn the cargo and the cargo would turn on the side mirror lights as well. Would anyone know how?

So you are looking to have the cargo lights come on whenever the reverse lights are on? Or whenever the puddle lights are on? (I just noticed that you talked about turning the cargos on when in reverse earlier in this thread)

Either way, a better topic to post this question in would be this thread.

Its for doing what I think you are describing as being the cargos on with reverse lights

I meant to say what slot is the slot for the puddle lights? I would like to add a diode from the cargo lights to the puddle lights

Check post #64 of the cargo lights on w/ reverse thread. Morris Lee did it where the cargos come on with the puddle lights just like you want. [emoji106]

Did this mod and the 9011s. Wait and see about the TSB. Also mounted LEDs with ACI license plate mount with a remote switch. Led fogs helped also. I can light up the night.

I just read all the posts regarding this topic... some fantastic information on the diode mod. Will get after this mod as soon as the temps rise above freezing. A quick question, close to this thread, I just purchased LED fog replacement lamps off Amazon 18w Cree Genssi. (H-16-80w-w) It looks easy to remove OEM and drop these in their place. I'm concerned with the computer thinking a lamp is out, due to lower voltage draw. I guess I will find out when I get them installed, but "if" this does happen, how do I fool the computer??

Will also have to wait to hear if this causes static on the radio...? The Denali is almost 3 months old and from day 1 I've seen condensation in the headlights, so as soon as the dealer sees them and hopefully replaces them, I will be back here to get advise on upgrading the headlights. HID? LED? xenon? just not sure what is the best/brightest way to go. 3 things I have always been concerned with... good rubber (tires & wipers), good lights and good brakes... these things keep you on the road. Cost is not a compromise for me on these 3) issues... I would prefer a plug/play option, but would like to hear from the GM truck experts...

thanks

Plug and play x 2 no problems so far. Not a lot brighter but very different look.used 5202 with dielectric grease. LEDs draw less amps.

I have the putco LEDs for fogs and other than not snapping in all the way...no issues.

I know other brand trucks that inform driver when a light is out (or almost out) an led will create issues due to resistance.

Just registered to pop in and say thank you, spurshot. Went the 10-22 route and it worked like a charm.

Well I just tried this mod and the cargo lights with reverse lights on and when I completed both mods one of my rigid industries reverse flush mount lights went out and will not go back on even if I take out the diodes. If anyone knows why one of the lights is out please let me know.

Can someone point me in the right direction to do the low beams on with high beams on a 2015 Silverado 1500?

I've been looking at this thread for the last week and I'm totally lost on where to start. The underhood fuse panel

doesn't show any headlight relays on the lid diagram. Where to I have to go to install the diode?

The cargo with reverse lights described in the other thread has pics of a connector bundle under the drivers side

dash.
