Since it's a 87 it's not a K10 it was called a V10 and they were not all Silverado's that term was used to differentiate the various interior packages. My 87 is a Silverado and it was the only year you could buy that body style and get the live front axle and TBI fuel injection in a pickup. The transmission should be a four speed TH700R4 and a NP205 Transfer case with manual or automatic hubs. See my avatar for a pic. of mine, all original. I see you have the stainless band around the cab so yours may be a Silverado as well.

You're right about the V10/K10 thing. I forgot about that. Are you sure about the transfer case though? All of the TH700R4 automatics that I've seen (including my old one) had the NP208 transfer case, instead of the 205. I'm pretty sure the 205 was only used on the manual transmissions, or on the heavy duty trucks with the TH400 transmission. I'd really like to see some pics of your '87!

Rod, You Sir are correct, it is a NP208. Brain fart I guess. I will try to post a few more pics when I have more time .

Great looking truck mmc

 

I did some work to it. Finished up some bondo, painted over it, and painted over the smiley face. Oh, and I got my toolbox in.

Very nice rig! That makes my downstairs tingle! Hahahaha! For real though, that's a very clean looking truck. Hang on to that one!

Nice! It's looking better already, man! Those rally wheels look good painted black, especially if you can find some factory chrome beauty rings to set them off.

Hmmm. Black. I was thinking about trying to paint them chrome/silver ish to get me by for a while. But I'll have to look into black

That doesnt look bad at all.

 

Hey guys, my o2 sensor was unplugged, so I plugged it back in. After that, the truck started to stall. Will a new o2 sensor fix this?

Alrighty guys, re doing all the brakes, oil change, transmission service, and carb rebuild this weekend. I just wanted to get a Holley or a Carter, but that idea was shot down. I can't imagine why. Haha
