Looks like they sit about level with the lower lip of the valence? Correct me if I am looking at that wrong lol. I would love to grab a Fisher plow but worry about the ground clearance of the push plates.

They are even with the slightly elevated part of the lip, however,I did install a 2.25 ReadyLift level kit. As they appear now the lowest part of the mount is 12.5 inches from the ground. My plow installer said the level kit was not needed for this install,I leveled for looks.

Quick update, Truck plowing well have a lot of snow this week been plowing all week,8 to 12 inches at a time medium to light in weight. I will say its the quietest plow truck I have owned so far good plow truck

I thought the 1/2 tons were not set up to plow? Is there a plow prep package you have on your truck?

Something about the EPAS steering not good with the towing equipment?

no special prep my dealer installs Fisher SD plows on several half ton truck every season, they said no problem. Warranty can be disallowed for many reasons including plows and almost any chassis/susp mods,I hope for the best

Chevy only recommends to plow with a regular cab and you can purchase a snow plow prep package for the truck. This is as follows:

SNOW PLOW PREP PACKAGE includes power feed for backup and roof emergency light, (KW7) 170-amp alternator, forward lamp wiring harness, (TRW) Provision for cab roof mounted lamp/beacon, (K47) high-capacity air cleaner, (NZZ) underbody shield and Heavy Duty Front Springs. VYU not available with 20" wheels without Z71 suspension. (Only available on 4WD models.) (VYU)

(Includes (G80) locking rear differential.) (Z82)

On a 1500, it provides a 3950 FGAWR.

and GM rates it for 40lb maximum of permanently attached snow plow mounting hardware and 500 lbs maximum of removable snow plow blade and blade hardware. Maximum plow weights based on a vehicle with average manufacturer option content and 150lbs each for driver and one additional front seat occupant. Additional equipment and occupants can reduce maximum plow weight. Rear compensating weight may be required to maintain front axle weight below 65% of total vehicle weight when equipped with snow plow, consult your snow plow manufacturer for specific compensating weight recommendation.

(HD's are rated for about 100/1000 permanent/removable weight)

ok im thinking of doing a 3.5" lift on my truck because one I hate how low it sits and two for more clearance for when I put the plow on I have a 7.5 fisher sd and I had it on my 2012 with 1.5 level and a two inch block in the rear should I have any issues when I go to my fisher dealer to have hardware and wiring installed or issues hooking up? Im looking to get around the same height as my other truck if not a little bigger

    • Still looks like a rivet to me in the pics, I don't see a nut and none of the pics show the head of the screw. But if you says so.....
    • Thanks for all the help so far!   I did try right from 2026 right down to 2021, and only from 2023 down lets me select the option for tire psi change, but I get the vehicle not supported error!   I'll definitely try it under Chevrolet after work today, and I'll get the sensor number from gm for my truck tire sensors. And I'll let you know if it works for me under Chevrolet!   And if that doesn't work, I'm going to guess that what @Atlas said about maybe I have a different body control module could be true!
    • From where I'm sitting this sounds like a compatibility problem. I'm assuming the 2007 was a 900-series truck, and not an 800-series (they were sold side-by-side in dealerships that model year), since it starts and runs.   This is why I HATE post-2006 vehicles. Everything becomes a huge problem when you try to keep the thing running for longer than the manufacturer has designed it to.    I can't remember when Global-A architecture started - either '10 or '11. For your sake, you had better hope it's '11, or you're going to be spending some BIG money to correct this cluster-eff. That's something you need to find out before doing anything else. You may have several computers bricked ... but the fact that it runs tells me you MIGHT be ok here.     EDIT: Just did a quick refresher. You're screwed. This is Global-A. The 2 systems are NOT compatible in the slightest. Once you get the correct engine in there that IS compatible, you're going to need to see how many computers are locked. Absolute NIGHTMARE to straighten out, too. Your buddy might be better off cutting his losses and finding something else.   Welcome to post-2006 vehicle electronics. This is why I quit the industry, and drive nothing built after 1994. This stuff takes all the fun out of wrenching!

    • True, hard to say what differences there may or may not be between Chev and GM as well as a production year or mid year part change either.    I just found it odd that under the Sierra choice on the Autel that many of the last few years of production year did not include the choice of changing the tire pressure but if that is an Autel thing or a GM thing as to why the choices were not there. Knowing what tpms sensors are on the truck should give some guidance into which choices on the tool even make sense to try as I wouldn't give up just yet with the tool but I guess he will see what if anything he comes up with if he finds out a bit more info and tries a few more things on the Autel.
