Rear end springs

I currently have a 2014 silverado with a 4" lift. The rear end part of the lift is just a bigger block and shock spacer. I don't haul a ton. But when I do or when I have weight in the back, the rear sags. My question is the difference between a add-a-leaf and helper springs. Which one wud give me a little bit of rake back and also help the sagging when hauling weight?

I have no experience in this area but heard that the add a leaf works pretty well. Was talking to a member who has some on his 6.5" lift. He also said the add a leaf makes the ride a bit stiffer.

I won't be too bothered if the ride gets a little bit stiffer. I'm just looking for better towing ability and a bit rake back.

Some NHT springs wud help or having some custom made Dealer springs would definitely help

See if you could find complete leaf spring replacements with a 4" lift built into it. I'm sure there's a company that sells them separate.

Well my lift is a 4" lift. So that means the rear is only lifted 2". I found add-a-leafs that are 2" ones but if I leave the extended block on and add the leaf. I think the rear will be up too far. But if I put the stock block back on and put the leaf on. It will still be sitting the same as it is now.

I am looking to remove my lift block and add a leaf from my 6" ProComp lift. More than likely will go with Deaver or Atlas 6" lift springs. This should improve the ride quality. I know they also have 4" so not sure if you considered these options. The Deavers will run me about $700 for the pair I need.

Do you want to be level when unloaded and pretty quickly be able to support a load without sagging? Supersprings Part #SSA8 with MKTK and long shackles will give you the best of both worlds imo. It does give you about 1/2 inch at the most relaxed setting but is capable of supporting a lot of weight. The NHT springs don't appear to be any different (I have them) than regular springs. Wouldn't you need custom bags to give you the right load support with that lift?

Can you put regular air bags ontop of a lift kit? I have considered getting some when I get my truck lifted. It sags plenty when I trailer the family boat and I would rather keep the truck at least a bit more level while being able to keep my ride as nice as I can.

yes you can you just space them like you do the lift . with air bags you won't change the ride unless you leave a lot of air in it

I have done airbags on my last 3 trucks and all had lifts. I have them on my 14 AT, but only have a 2.5 level at this point. Keeping about 10-15lbs of air helps thw ride as well.

What if you get a 1" larger block and the 2" leaf.

That's what I would do. Put like a 2"-2.5" block in there with the 2" add-a-leaf. That will lift the rear around 3"....which would give it a little bit of rake, and also improve the sagging problem.
