future of the Silverado

Someone told me the other day that the Silverado was getting redesigned in 2017. Does anybody know anything about that? Are the current Silverados not doing well? Just wondering as I was thinking about buying a new truck possibly switching to a ram but if Silverados are getting new body style in couple years id consider waiting

2018 MY will be a change. All automakers are decreasing the time a model is out. If you don't change you will lose market share

Best rumor I heard it's more of a frame/chassis upgrade

I was thinking today, that I was planning on my Silverado to be my last vehicle, depending on how long I am around.

 

In 15 - 20 years, I may need something else, but not a Silverado. I think the new ones look nice. I am glad they got rid of the stupid front bumper end caps.

Why did the 99-02 only last 3 years? Some of the other gm cars in that gen got the RDS but the up level trucks didnt get rds

It was a mid-cycle refresh. There were only 6 main years of that generation.
