I love the Onstar remote start!

Since the weather got cold I have been starting my truck from my phone app. Last week I landed at the airport where it was 24 degrees and started my truck while taxiing in and by the time I got to the truck the seat and interior were hot, awesome!!!

If you do the minimum Onstar activation and then let it expire the phone app still works for 5 years.

2 weeks ago the truck emailed me saying the RF tire was low.

I didn't attach my CC to the account so I only have the 6 months complimentary. Wonder how long it will actually work via the app. I also love the remote start via the app. So handy and all my friends' jaws drop when I do it lol

Pretty sure so long as you use the app once in the first six months the app is good for 4 or 5 years.

When I bought mine, they said if I used the phone app at least once, it was good for 5 years free.

I have the remote start, but it works off the key fob. I like it. I can start it as long as I am within a certain distance, I use it before I leave for work in the morning, only if it is under 35 degrees, which is once or twice a year, or if the truck has been sitting out in the sun all day in the summer, I can cool it off before I get in.

I don't have a smart phone......I have a stupid phone!

My pickup is garaged at home, but there has been a couple of times that we were visiting family, that I used the Onstar app to remote start my pickup. It is a cool feature! No need to shell out for some remote start kit. I live in Iowa, but for kicks one day while in Ohio, I called the wife and told her I was going to use the app to remote start the pickup and see if it would. Sure enough, she called me that the pickup had started. I even messed with her brain one day and had the horn go off and scare her, also using the Onstar app! What a toy! Like a kid in a sand box!

wished this worked for the gmt800's have remote start on the key fob for my 07 truck, 03 tahoe doesnt and i would love to have it without having to get an aftermarket fob.
