A family divided

To make a long painful story short: My WIFI wanted a new SUV, I looked at every mid size SUV/CUV on the market. She decided that the Ford explorer Sport was the one for her. I lost my @ss on the Malibu trade, it was paid for and I got NADA clean trade on it, but I still lost money. Oh well, now I'm a divided family. I have to admit that Explorer is a Damn nice ride and powerfull with the 3.5L twin turbo!

I got to say that's a nice looking ride, I bet it hauls ass. The nice thing about it is you can buy a programmer add a ton of HP and if it breaks blame your wife.

They made your new vehicle upside down. Take it back immediately.

Our local police force has switched all of their crown vics to these. They are faster, handle better, hold more equipment, and get better fuel mileage.

My wife and I looked at these recently, but went with the Traverse instead because it had a lot more room behind the 3rd row, as well as easy access to get into the 3rd row.

To each their own.... We would have ended up with a new Durango if it were fully up to me....and our own practicality thrown out the window.

Nice color choice! I love that there is no chrome on it.

Really? that's just not nice. I like it. The ford.

I didn't think it was nice either, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I really wanted a GM product, Traverse looks like a mini van IMO, equinox to small, terrain is Butt Ugly and Cadillac/Buick was the same just rebadged.

Funny you say it looks like a minivan, my wife is very defiant on the fact we will never own a minivan! She loves the look of it. But the new Explorer's have definitely caught my eye.....way better than all of the previous models.

Its exactly what it looks like to me, (the Traverse) I didn't even want to look at the explorer but I relented and went and test drove one. Very quite cabin, amazing TQ and HP for six cylinder twin turbo, 4x4 not AWD. 2 miles into the test drive I was sold.
