2014 with adjustable pedals here. There was about 1/4" of flex at the bracket at the firewall, which translated to 1/2" of pedal movement where nothing happened. I've only had this truck for a month, and my first complaint (to myself, of course) was the pedal feel. The first inch didn't seemt to do anything. I did just as OP did and put a piece of paint stick at the bottom of the asembly, just to see if i could feel a difference. Pressing the pedal by hand, there was definately less play before activation. But looking at the pedal while your pressing it could lead to a different result than pressing it naturally with your foot. So I took a 30 min drive around town, and I could definately feel a difference. Some of the "lag" is gone. Following another thread, there is a update to the transfer case (TSB 15304) that is available for my truck, and many memebers have posted that the TSB has helped with driveability as well.

The movement in the throttle assembly leads to another question - what is it secured to? Is there a plastic panel behind it that is secured to the firewall somewhre higher up? Only reason i could see to do this would be to take some vibration away. The entire assembly seems flimsy and cheap, like you coould rip it out with a good yank. Maybe its meant to break in case of an accident?

I had this problem on my 2014, but seems to be solved on the '15s. I don't have any flex on my adjustable pedals. Did GM fix it?

I have a '15 LTZ with adjustable pedals and looked closely at mine for movement. Seems to be the slightest bit of flex but nothing that would lead to the major lag in repsonse. I did the fuse pull a couple of days ago and have been driving it pretty hard since then to try and reset the "learned" driving style but haven't taken the time to really pay attention to the feel of the pedal now. I'm not feeling to good about it actually working. I looked up 'throttle booster' on Google and found a couple that will definitely work for some good money but haven't decided to spend the money ($280!!!). I'm trying to get my head around why GM would program so much lag into the pedal. I've read in other posts that its a fuel savings program but that seems to be completely opposite to what really happens because I just press the pedal farther and watch the RPMs go up to 3K to get up to speed. Seems to just waste more gas than giving me an immediate pedal response to manage my RPMs closer.

New Question: Does anyone have the TEEN Mode on their settings? I read in the book about a TEEN Mode to manage top speed and radio volume but don't have it on mine... considering I got a LTZ, I would think it would be standard. Wonder if it's something that could be installed with an update to the ECM.

The throttle booster is the wrong way to fix the throttle response.

Get a canned tuner at a minimum. Torque management is the biggest issue with the throttle. Reducing it makes the truck extremely responsive.

I just looked at my pedal today and it flexed a decent amount so I put a nice piece of rubber under it and you can definitely tell the difference. Glad I saw this.

Wow I just went and look at my pedal. My pedal doesn't flex like the video. I have a '15 lt cc w non adjustable pedals. The pedal and electronics are bolted to a flimsy piece of plastic only held on to the floor by the left side of the plastic. Nothing on the right side to anchor it to the floor. I could pull up on the pedal and plastic and have 1/2 inch of play either way. For now I wedged a 1/4 inch thick piece of a metal bracket in my junk drawer til I get a better solution.

A chunk of rubber works great. Make it big enough that the bracket pushes again the rubber and it won't move. Also no risk of it making noise as it vibrates like metal might. I forgot all about the pedal flex since I put the rubber piece in.

I haven't driven it yet. I'll see if I can find a hard rubber gromet or something. Driving in the morning. Should I feel a bit of difference?

I cut a 2"x2" piece of white rubber material that was approximately 1/4" thick.

Pulled on the pedal bracket and wedged the rubber piece as far as I could. I'll try to get a picture of it tomorrow.

Please do as I'd like to see this.

I just accepted the fact their was play. It's good to know now that this shouldn't be the case. My first new truck so I assume all new vehicles ran like this.

Well took the truck out all day today. Had a funeral to go to and in the northeast we are getting a good amount of snow again. I can dilefinately feel this spacer put in to take up the slack makes the throttle just feel nice. Feels like you now touch the gas and she wants to move. Not that bad lag I had everyday from before. I'm sure a tranny tune would work additional wonders but not till my warranty is up

I wedged the rubber piece in a radiused inset behind the pedal bracket. It takes up the flexing movement of the bracket with only a small piece of rubbber. I forgot it was there for well over a year.
