I don't know when they changed it, but at least since 2023 the WT and Custom both have the 40/20/40 with the storage middle seat. Same for the rear seat storage on crew cab. If you ordered a WT crew with carpet floors and cloth seats you could order the rear seat storages for the seat backs. Available on Custom as well.
My main questions are storage related. I'm a huge fan of the 40-20-40 seats, but they made the under center seat storage not standard on the custom or WT trims. I was also a fan of the behind rear seat storage, which also was limited. Will we get better storage across the line? And not with having to buy expensive trims? On a positive, the upper door storage shelf is back!
Our local stations' (basically everywhere) diesel fuel has the minimum required cetane and is up to 20% biodiesel, ULSD. *My* truck runs fine on it. (When I'm not dumping the local choke-and-puke's used fry oil in the tank to save money!) - kidding.
I'm not sure the documented long crank issues with some of these engines is fuel related, but fuel can certainly always be suspect. Always good to consider bad fuel as a possible cause.
For the long cranking, I do know this engine is very susceptible to fuel quality. Watch your centene values and bio content. This isn't a Jimmy that will run off of crude.
My 2000 silverado 5.3 4wheel drive keeps running the battery down. With using the Power Probe tester plugged into OBD port then battery neg disconnected im showing a draw of 130mA. It should be below 40mA. The drain goes away when I unplug the horn relay. The horn is disconnected. So with that test it is after the relay between it and the horn. Is there anything else on that circuit?
